Los Santos Customs In GTA 5

Los Santos Customs is based on the real-life West Coast Customs located in Burbank, California. In fact West Coast Customs was also part of a GTA V promotion where they re-created the Bravado Banshee in real life. Los Santos Customs is the counterpart of Pay n Spray in the previous Grand Theft Auto titles and TransFender from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

In GTA V a player can visit any branch of Los Santos Customs to upgrade and modify their vehicle. Most vehicles can be modified with a few exceptions. The player has to drive close to the shutter of a Los Santos Customs shop and drive in when it opens. The screen will automatically change to a cutscene that shows the car drive in where even the manufacturer name and car name will be seen on the bottom right of the screen.

After this the player can choose from a list of many applicable customizations. Los Santos Customs offers an upgrade to performance as well with upgrades like armor, engine, transmission, turbo, etc. The top speed, acceleration and handling can be improved with these changes.

A player can walk in and explore Los Santos Customs by using a vehicle to get the shutter to open and then walk in. A player can drive into Los Santos Customs to lose their wanted level but only if they are not currently on the police’s radar. If the cops know where the player is then a message saying “Lose The Cops” will appear on the top right of the screen when trying to enter Los Santos Customs and the shutter will not open.

If the mechanic in Los Santos Customs is killed, the player will not be able to customize their car as the shop will then be closed until the player leaves the area and comes back.

The Harmony Branch of Los Santos Customs is available for purchase by Franklin after the mission Nervous Ron for $349,000. It generates a weekly income of $1600. After this purchase all customizations and upgrades for Franklin at this branch of Los Santos CUstoms will be free.

There are also pre-modified cars that spawn outside Los Santos Customs shops. They usually have a different paint job, a few customizations and a few performance upgrades.

• If the player adds armor to their car as Franklin or the GTA Online Protagonist, the mechanic may ask, "You got some heat with the Ballas or something?"

• In the email he sends to Franklin upon purchasing the Harmony branch, Hao states he will no longer charge for modifications. However, modifications are only free for Franklin at the Harmony outlet, whereas Hao works at the Los Santos International Airport branch.

• Pre-modified vehicles in GTA Online are never locked. As many are too hot to enter LSC to be fixed, presumably it is so the player will not have to break a window if they want to joyride around in a unique car, or always have to repair the damage if it can be sold.
