The prison break heists feature five different missions to complete. Players need to play through four setup missions and one finale mission in order to complete the heist.

Heists are one of the best ways of earning money in GTA Online and the prison break heist is one of the easier missions to complete with a crew of friends.

Just like every heist in GTA Online, players play for a percentage cut of the total takeaway. The host of the lobby needs to decide each player’s cut before starting the main mission.

To start the prison break heist, the host of the lobby needs to pay a setup cost of $40,000 to get started with the missions.

Players receive a cut of $19,000 if they are playing these missions on hard difficulty and they complete the first and second setup missions. There is a potential cut of $18,500 for the third mission that players can earn if they execute the mission properly while playing with their crew.

For the fourth mission, players are split into two teams: the City Hall team and the Mansion team. On completing this mission with a crew, players can receive a cut of $19,000.

The last step of the heist is the finale, and players have a chance of making money according to the difficulty and their percentage cut on the mission.

In case the heist is done in easy mode, the players will have a pot of $200,000 to split among the four. Playing the heist at normal difficulty will give players a split from the $400,000 pot. Completing the mission on hard will reward players with a pot of $500,000 to split from.
