Defending champions India are off to a flying start by wining two matches in a row including beating rivals Pakistan 33-30 in the ongoing 3rd South Asian Men’s handball championship being held at Noida, India.

Pakistan defeated Nepal 38-23 in the opening match of the tournament. Meanwhile, India also won its second match by beating Bangladesh 44-22.

Following are the other results of the league matches of the championship.

  1. Afghanistan 34-30 Nepal
  2. India 46-20 Nepal
  3. Pakistan 42-24 Afghanistan
  4. Bangladesh 28-20 Afghanistan

This Championship is taking place at the Genesis Global School in Noida. Five South Asian countries – Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and hosts India are participating in the 3rd edition of this event. The final of the championship will be held on 26 March 2014.
