Indian women’s hockey team will hope for a positive outcome from the camp

Bhopal, Oct 26 (IANS) The Indian women's hockey team core probables will undergo a preparatory camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre here from Sunday.

The camp, to be held till December 7, is in preparation for the Hockey World League Round 2 to be held in New Delhi March 7-15, 2015. Thirty-three probables have been selected for the camp.

"The camp will be a good learning experience for the team and I am sure through this the girls will be better prepared for what is coming next in their way. Post their Asian Games bronze, the entire team looks confident and ready to take on newer and bigger challenges. We will look at the camp giving us the perfect team for the upcoming tournaments," India chief coach Neil Hawgood said.

The list of probables:

Goalkeepers: Yogita Bali, Savita, Rajni Etimarpu

Defenders: Deep Grace Ekka, Deepika, Kirandeep Kaur, Sunita Lakra, Gurjit Kaur, Sushila Chanu, M.N. Ponnamma, Asunta Lakra, Joydeep Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Monika

Midfielders: Ritu Rani, Namita Toppo, Chanchan Devi Thokchom, Lilima Minz, Liliy Chanu, Navjot Kaur, Amandeep Kaur, Renuka Yadav, Sondarya Yendala
