Steve Maclin and the current X-Division Champion Trey Miguel came face-to-face. Minoru Suzuki was in singles action for the first time at IMPACT Wrestling and is scheduled to face a former IMPACT World Champion next week.

So without further ado, let's look at the five talking points from this week's IMPACT Wrestling. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

#5 Number one contenders crowned on IMPACT Wrestling

The rivalry between FinJuice and the Bullet Club (Chris Bey & El Phantasmo) finally culminated this week. The teams battled each other for the right to challenge The Good Brothers for the World Tag Team Championships at Turning Point.

Last week, Gallows & Anderson competed against Finlay & Robinson, and just when the match was about to hit the next gear, the Bullet Club interfered and wrecked both the teams making it a no contest.

IMPACT Wrestling's Executive Vice-President Scott D'Amore booked the match between FinJuice and Bullet Club to determine the challengers for the tag team champions.

After some assistance from Hikuleo, the Bullet Club toppled FinJuice to secure the win. The Good Brothers attacked the challengers after the match, but the winners quickly threw them out of the ring.

#4 X-Division Championship Picture on IMPACT Wrestling

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Laredo Kid won a fatal four-way match to earn a shot at X-Division Champion Trey Miguel at Turning Point. After the match, the champion showed up to show his admiration for the challenger. However, they were attacked by Steve Maclin.

This week, Maclin stated that he hadn't been pinned or submitted despite falling short in his quest for the title. Miguel confronted him, saying if he wanted a title shot, he just needed to ask.

D'Amore interrupted and announced a match between Laredo Kid and Steve Maclin next week. He added that if the latter won, he would be added to the X-Division Title match at Turning Point, making it a triple-threat bout.

#3 Mickie James gets attacked on IMPACT Wrestling

Last week on IMPACT Wrestling, Mickie James defended her Knockouts Title successfully against Madison Rayne. Then Mercedes Martinez, the winner of the Knockouts Knockdown Tournament, announced that she'd challenge James for the title at Turning Point.

Martinez defeated Rayne in a singles competition this week. After the match, the latter assaulted the former. But James rushed in to break the brawl apart.

As James was checking on Martinez, the latter took her out with a modified Driver. Martinez further ignited her feud with her sights firmly set on the title.

#2 Josh Alexander to battle Minoru Suzuki next week on IMPACT Wrestling

On this week's IMPACT Wrestling, Josh Alexander was disappointed for not being featured in the number one contender's match for the World Championship. D'Amore revealed that he kept him out of the match as he wanted him to settle his differences with Minoru Suzuki first. He made their match official for next week.

D'Amore hopes Alexander will be focused on the title following his match with Suzuki. The latter easily defeated Kaleb with a K later in the night, sending a warning to his opponent next week.

#1 Moose's first challenger revealed on IMPACT Wrestling

We witnessed a triple threat match between W. Morrissey, Matt Cardona and Eddie Edwards to determine the first challenger for Moose's IMPACT World Championship.

Morrissey dominated early on, taking both men out with a double chokeslam. Cardona and Edwards teamed up to take him out. However, their alliance was short-lived as Cardona took both opponents out with a Tower of Doom.

In the match's closing moments, Edwards hit the Boston Knee Party on Morrissey outside the ring and on Cardona inside the ring to secure the victory.
