Khalsa Warriors defeated the Lahore Lions 64-55 in an action-packed 13th match in the Wave World Kabaddi League at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Saturday.

The points difference may have been as much as nine, but it was a very well-fought match.

Khalsa Warriors maintained their unbeaten streak and record their fourth successive win in front of a boisterous crowd.

At the same time it was the first defeat for the Lahore Lions, who had won their previous three matches convincingly.

Though the match was played in good spirit, there were a few sparks flying around as the big men faced off in action packed one-on-one clashes featuring the teams' star raiders and stoppers.

Gagandeep, Jagga, Jasmanpreet Singh Raju and skipper Gurmeet Singh were the star raiders from Khalsa Warriors and their prominent stoppers were Satnam Singh aka Sattu, Gurpreet Singh Batth and Karandeep Singh.

For the Lahore Lions, raiders Shafiq Ahmad Chisti, Babbar Waseem Gujjar and Shahzad Akmal Dogar shone and later they also fielded their 17-year-old raider Rehman Isteyaq.
