Bengaluru Bulls' raiding sensation Pawan Sehrawat etched his name into the record books during the 118th match of Pro Kabaddi 2019 as he picked up a whopping total of 39 raid points in a single game - the most in the history of PKL - against the Haryana Steelers at the Tau Devilal Sports Complex in Haryana.

Courtesy of the record-breaking performance by Pawan Sehrawat, the Bengaluru Bulls managed to defeat the home side in a one-sided contest by a 56-39 margin and also qualified for the playoffs of PKL 2019.

Sehrawat broke Pardeep Narwal's previous record of 34 raid points in a single game, with the latter having registered the record back in season 5 against the Steelers as well.

In what turned out to be a scintillating effort from Sehrawat, he completed his Super 10 in the 13th minute of the match, as he went on to score 18 raid points at the end of the first half. With form on his side, Sehrawat made the most of the Steelers' defenders' woes on the night as he collected touchpoints at will.

At the final whistle, Sehrawat finished with several records to his name, including the most raids (38) and also most successful raid attempts (36) in a single game. What was also interesting to note is that Sehrawat's 39 raid points were the only raid points the Bulls picked up throughout the match, with support raiders Sumit Singh and Banty unable to pick up a single raid point throughout the game.

Sehrawat, who is also leading the raids points chart for the season crossed his 600th raid point mark in the same encounter and also took back the green armband for the most raid points this season, as he finished with a total of 281 raid points from 20 matches at the end of the clash against the Steelers.

Such was Sehrawat's proficiency that he wreaked havoc against the cover defenders of the Steelers, as he picked comfortable touch points off Vikas Kale 10 times in the entire match. Sunil's tackle on Sehrawat in the 16th minute of the encounter his only unsuccessful raid all through the game.

With this win, the Bulls entered into the playoffs of the ongoing season and are strong contenders to clinch the title yet again this season. The Bulls are set to face the Jaipur Pink Panthers on the final day of Panchkula leg on 4th October before squaring off against the U.P. Yoddha on 11th October in their final league stage match.
