A rejuvenated U Mumba side will face defending champions, Bengaluru Bulls, in the 109th match of the season. Both these teams will look forward to strengthen their hold in the top half of the table as the race for the playoffs gets intense by the day.
U Mumba registered their first successive victory this season when they beat Gujarat 31-25 in the last game. Abhishek Singh was once again the leader of their attack with a brilliant Super 10. Although Arjun Deshwal has done very well in the last few matches, he failed to get going in the match against Gujarat. Rohit Baliyan too had a moderate outing and the Mumbai-based outfit could not provide Abhishek enough support. They would want to work on that aspect.
U Mumba’s defence has been their stronghold. Surinder Singh is back with his muscular dashes and so is Sandeep Narwal. Fazel Atrachali has been top-notch so far and his experience at the left corner will be crucial against Bengaluru’s Pawan Sehrawat.

Bengaluru Bulls made a stunning comeback to hold Delhi to a draw in the last match. Pawan Sehrawat was the lone warrior in the attack as he scored a mammoth 17 points. He is this season’s best raider with 245 points.
But Bengaluru’s weak link was exposed again as they failed to provide Pawan with the support he needed. In the absence of Rohit Kumar, other raiders like Banty and Ajay could not step up, leaving much of the work for Pawan. They will hope for Rohit’s quick return to avoid any further slip-ups.
Bengaluru’s defence does not boast of big names but they have been decent throughout this season. Amit Sheoran’s fabulous performance earned him a High 5 in the last game.
Saurabh Nandal has also been a consistent performer for the side along with Mahender Singh. It’s not the most sturdy defence but still a pretty decent one.

U Mumba’s much-acclaimed defence might face the heat when they face Pawan Sehrawat. Their raiders will have a big role to play against a relatively weaker Bulls defence.
The absence of a support raider could hurt Bengaluru. U Mumba’s defence can stop Pawan, and if they succeed in doing so, the Bulls do not have a raider to fetch points consistently.
