The Patna leg of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League 2019 is in the history books now. The hosts, Patna Pirates, could not take much advantage of the home support as they could record only one win in their four matches. They lost their first home game to Jaipur Pink Panthers before succumbing to Puneri Paltan next.

Haryana Steelers were the next to bulldoze the home team. However, Pardeep Narwal's men bounced back in the final home encounter as they crushed U.P. Yoddha by 21 points.

A total of 11 matches took place at the Patliputra Sports Complex. While the home team disappointed the most, a lot of other stars failed to come to the party as well.

#5 Abozar Mighani - Telugu Titans

Matches - 1, Points - 0, Unsuccessful tackles - 4

Abozar Mighani's performance has shocked the fans because the Iranian star was one of the best defenders for Telugu Titans last year. However, his performance has taken a dip this year. Telugu Titans played only a solitary game in the Patna leg, where they suffered a loss at the hands of Bengaluru Bulls.

In that match, Mighani had attempted four tackles but, none of them could gain him a point. Instead, his mistakes gifted four points to the Bengaluru Bulls. With Mighani being the skipper of the team as well, the Telugu Titans team management would be very tensed at the moment.

#4 Rishank Devadiga - UP Yoddha

Matches - 2, Raid Points - 5, Unsuccessful Raids - 5

UP Yoddha's star raider, Rishank Devadiga, brought new energy in the VIVO PKL 2019 campaign of his side.

His return bolstered the team's raiding unit. However, in the last two games, the Maharashtra-born raider failed to make any major impact on his side's performance. UP Yoddha played two matches in the Patna leg.

Devadiga had taken five raid points against Tamil Thalaivas to ensure that the match ended in a tie while in the fixture against Patna Pirates, the former U Mumba star could not even open his account.

He put in six raids in that match of which four were empty and Rishank got tackled in the other two.

UP Yoddha are placed at the 11th position on the points table right now. If they want to rise up in the rankings, Devadiga's performance needs to improve.

Match - 1, Points - 0, Unsuccessful tackles - 4

Jaipur Pink Panthers' highly talented corner defender, Sandeep Dhull, had established himself as the cornerstone of his team's defence with some magnificent performances in the initial matches.

He was one of the key reasons behind Jaipur's four-match winning streak but, when the Pink Panthers locked horns with Dabang Delhi K.C, Dhull could not showcase his magic.

He failed to contribute a single point to his team's score. On the other hand, he committed four unsuccessful tackles. Sandeep's poor performance made Dabang Delhi's job easy as they conquered the winning streak of the season one champions.

Since Sandeep Dhull is one of the leading defenders of the seasons, the fans can back him to come back stronger in the next game.

#2 Rinku Narwal - Bengal Warriors

Matches - 2, Points - 1, Unsuccessful tackles - 5

Former Puneri Paltan star, Rinku Narwal struggled to keep the raiders down while playing for Bengal Warriors in the Patna leg of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League 2019. The corner defender could not score a single point versus Pawan Sehrawat and co. in a match where 85 points were recorded. Narwal had three unsuccessful tackles to his name in that match.

In his side's second match, Narwal's performance improved but, U Mumba's young raider, Arjun Deshwal milked a lot of raid points from his side. Though the Warriors won eventually, Narwal would look to work on his game before his team plays next.

The fans know about the incredible talent that Rinku Narwal has hence, they will back him to start troubling the raiders sooner rather than later.

#1 Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou - Patna Pirates

The Iranian raider failed miserably in the home leg
The Iranian raider failed miserably in the home leg

Matches - 4, Points - 0, Unsuccessful Raids - 8

The most important reason why Patna Pirates lost three of their four home games was the lacklustre performance of their secondary raider, Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou.

The Iranian had kicked off his PKL career on a high with a splendid outing against the Bengaluru Bulls. However, it seems like his good performance came because of his beginner's luck.

Despite featuring in the starting seven of all the four games, Maghsoudlou failed to score a single point in the Patna leg.

This is an alarming sign for Patna Pirates' coach, Ram Meher Singh. Pardeep Narwal needs support in the raiding department but the Iranian's performance has just added more responsibility on the captain's shoulders.

Jang Kun Lee has supported Narwal and when Patna battle U Mumba in their next encounter, it will not be a surprise if we see all-rounder Monu in the team instead of Mohammad Esmaeil.
