Pro Kabaddi 2019, Match 9: Dabang Delhi K.C. v Tamil Thalaivas | Match preview, predictions and telecast details - Who will win today's match?
On the back of fine wins in both of their opening encounters for the season, Tamil Thalaivas and Dabang Delhi K.C will be squaring in match 9 of Pro Kabaddi 2019 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.
Rahul Chaudhari made a sizzling debut for the Thalaivas against his ex-franchise with a handy Super 10 while Manjeet Chhillar put up an authoritative show in his first game with a High 5 that applied constant pressure on the Telugu Titans.
Dabang Delhi, on the other hand, held their nerve in a riveting encounter to overcome a whopping 18-point effort from Telugu Titans' debutant Suraj Desai to claim a nail-biting one-point victory over the hosts.
Young Naveen picked up from where he left off last season as he went on a rampage, finishing with 14 points that outlined Delhi's win in the end. Apart from Naveen, skipper Joginder Narwal and Ravinder Pahal combined well to pick up four points and three points respectively.
With a whole lot of confidence coming into this encounter, both teams will be keen to put up an impressive show in order to maintain their winning run. Rahul Chaudhari will come up against the might of Ravinder Pahal and Joginder Narwal while Naveen Kumar will have a big task of coming up against the defensive trio of Manjeet Chhillar, Mohit Chhillar and Ran Singh.
It will be interesting to see which of the superstars claim their right to fame when the whistle is blown to kick-start the mouth-watering clash.
Predicted starting 7s
Dabang Delhi K.C.: Joginder Narwal (c), Naveen Kumar, Chandran Ranjit, Meraj Sheykh, Vishal Mane, Ravinder Pahal, Vijay Malik.
Tamil Thalaivas: Ajay Thakur (c), Rahul Chaudhari, Shabeer Bappu, Manjeet Chhillar, Ran Singh, Mohit Chhillar, Ajeet.
The Thalaivas' star-studded unit decimated the Telugu Titans in their opening encounter as the experienced names in the team did not allow the hosts to take any advantage in the game.
Dabang Delhi, on the other hand, were made to fight for every point as despite Naveen's 14-point heroics, they finished with just a slender one-point win. Against a mighty Thalaivas setup, they will need to bring about their A-game.
However, with the experience and the new found form, the Thalaivas look like the team to beat in this competition and should be able to register their second win in a row.
Tamil Thalaivas could be expected to win this match.
