The home side Puneri Paltan will take on the Gujarat Fortune Giants in the first match of the Pune leg on Saturday, 14th September at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune at 7:30 PM IST as part of Pro Kabaddi 2019.
The last time both these sides met, Pune beat Gujarat 33-31 in a close encounter but more importantly, the Paltan come into this contest on the back of a close 42-39 loss at the hands of Bengal Warriors in their previous game and will be raring to bounce back to winning ways.
The Fortune Giants too have had their fair share of ill luck as they will be walking into this clash with a loss, a 33-26 loss at the hands of the UP Yoddha which they will hope to overturn from this match.

The Paltan didn't miss Nitin Tomar against Bengal as Pankaj Mohite and Manjeet racked up the raid points for the side. Pankaj, especially, was brilliant with 11 raid points while Manjeet got 7 raid points and 3 tackle points. Iranian Emad Sedaghatnia could make way for Nitin if the latter is fit.
In defense, Hadi Tajik did a good job in the right corner with 3 tackle points and he was supported well by Girish Ernak. The cover combination didn't have such a good game although no changes are expected in the defensive unit.

Despite Sachin Tanwar's Super 10, the Gujarat Fortune Giants slumped to a loss against UP due to the lack of support for Sachin. The usually reliable Rohit Gulia and Sonu had bad games although they're likely to retain their place in the side.
