The third day of the Kabaddi event in the ongoing 2019 South Asian Games will witness arch-rivals India and Pakistan lock horns in the men's category.

On the other hand, the women's team will take on Nepal in the opening fixture of the morning session. This will be a preview of the final since both sides have qualified for the gold medal match already. While India will be looking to end their group stage campaign unbeaten, Nepal will be keen on securing a triumph over the reigning champions.

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will square off in the second women's match of the morning session. Both sides have been eliminated from the competition, having failed to win a single fixture thus far. The winner of this encounter will clinch the bronze medal in this year's event.

In the men's section, Nepal will be hoping to avoid an early exit when they take on Sri Lanka in the evening session. Sri Lanka enter this contest on the back of a heavy defeat to India and will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

The final match of Day 3 will witness a heated battle between India and Pakistan. Skipper Deepak Niwas Hooda led his team to a remarkable win against Sri Lanka last time around and India will hope to continue getting top raiding performances from the likes of Pawan Sehrawat and Naveen Kumar.

Pakistan, on the other hand, will rely upon their solid defense led by Nasir Ali to subdue the Indian onslaught and defeat the gold medal favourites.
