Afghanistan 193/5 (20 ov)
Zimbabwe 148/10 (17.1 ov)
Afghanistan won by 45 runs.
Player of the match: Mohammad Nabi
So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Prashanth Satish. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the third T20I between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe which will take place tomorow.
Mohammad Nabi: We were in a really good position when I went in to bat and there were only five overs left. They brought on a spinner straight-away and I took him on. The pitch was really good for batting and we needed to score 190-195 as a score of 165-170 would have been very easy to chase. It was good to take wickets after a long time and hopefully I can take more wickets in the future.
Mohammad Nabi has been named as the 'Man of the Match'.
Sean Williams: Very disappointed. We started off pretty well. We didn't get wickets the opening bowlers did pretty well. However, conceding more than 20 runs off two overs and also losing a lot of wickets in the Powerplay were major blows. We need to go back and look at the shot selection including myself. When you lose like this, it is important to get back up. Winning a game before getting on the plane is crucial. (Williams or Sikandar Raza batting as an opener) Yes it has been discussed and it is a possibility. We need power-hitting at the top and during the back-end of an innings too.

Asghar Afghan: These T20Is are very important as the T20 World Cup isn't far away. We have different batting plans which depends on the kind of starts we get. When we win these games, the morale is high and the team is happy. Karim Janat and Usman Ghani batted very well and that is why we got a good total
Karim Janat: There was a need for a partnership from myself and Ghani and we got success after that.
That is it!! Karim Janat wins the match for Afghanistan in style!! A splendid yorker to clean up Blessing Muzarabani's stumps. Chasing 194 for victory, Zimbabwe took a blow early in the game as Naveen-ul-Haq dismissed Tinashe Kamunhukamwe off the very first delivery. The visitors lost their skipper Sean Williams in the very next cover and continued to lose a flurry of wickets in the Powerplay.

Sikandar Raza was required to build a partnership with Richmond Mutumbami but Fareed Ahmed got the better of him with a bouncer. With half the side gone, Afghanistan were bossing the game but Ryan Burl gave some hope to his side by smashing three sixes off Rashid Khan's bowling. His partner, Mutumbami also started to find the boundary but the wily Mohammad Nabi returned to dismiss him in the 14th over. All-rounder Donald Tiripano showed off his big-hitting skills but Rashid Khan put an end to Zimbabwe's hopes with three wickets in the 17th over.

With this convincing 45-run victory, Afghanistan take an unassailable 2-0 lead in this series with the last T20I set to be played tomorrow. Afghanistan will hope for a clean-sweep while Zimbabwe will play for their pride.
17.1 Karim Janat to Richard Ngarava, OUT! BOWLED! Afghanistan win by 45 runs and win the series! Full and in the blockhole from Janat, it was a little too good at the end for the number 11 Ngarava
Richard Ngarava, left-handed batsman, into the middle
Third wicket in the over for Rashid Khan!! Reverse-sweep accounts for one more Zimbabwe batsman as Tiripano missed the ball and got bowled
Over: 17 | Summary: W 1 W 6 0 W Bowler: Rashid Khan Score: 148/9
16.6 Rashid Khan to Donald Tiripano, RASHID HAS THREE! BOWLED! He goes for the reverse this time and his off-stump is uprooted. Wicket number 350 for Rashid in T20s
16.5 Rashid Khan to Donald Tiripano, OH! Length ball on stump line and Tiripano goes back and turns this one away to the leg side. Muzarabani is almost down to the other end and somehow a wayward throw means he is back somehow
16.4 Rashid Khan to Donald Tiripano, SIX! Massive hit, length ball on stump line and Tiripano goes back and pulls this one over the square-leg fence this time.
Blessing Muzarabani, right-handed batsman, into the middle
Another wicket for Rashid Khan! Full outside off and Mavuta has slog-swept it straight to Naveen-ul-Haq at long-on.
16.3 Rashid Khan to Brandon Mavuta, OUT! DUCK FOR MAVUTA! Rashid has two in no time, tossed up and Mavuta gets a top-edge and it carries to the fielder at long-on. Just a matter of time now before the inevitable happens
16.2 Rashid Khan to Donald Tiripano, short ball on stump line and Tiripano pulls it away to the deep for a single
Brandon Mavuta, right-handed batsman, into the middle
Rashid Khan has the final laugh!! Ryan Burl tried to go for the big slog-sweep again but he can only hole out to deep mid-wicket. That should be the end of Zimbabwe's challenge here.
16.1 Rashid Khan to Ryan Burl, RASHID HAS THE FINAL LAUGH! Caught at mid-wicket this time, full-length ball outside the off-stump and he does not get the contact he got on so many of the previous hits vs Rashid. Ends up getting it down the throat of the mid-wicket fielder. A nice moment between the players as they share a laugh
