Northern Warriors skipper Nicolas Pooran: "First of all thanks to the coaches and everyone. It was discussed between me and the coaches that I need to bat long and stay there till the end and it is something that I am working on as well. Tonight I felt that good players carry on till the end be consistent which is something that I want to keep doing."
A word from the winning captain and player of the match in a few minutes, stay tuned!
Looking back it was quite the effort from Bangla Tigers to chase this huge total. Things would have been surely different for if Nothern Warriors did not have one of the greatest performances with the bat. All thanks to their skipper Nicolas Porran who scored 89 runs in just 26 balls. He was also named the player of the match!
Chirag played a handy knock as he continued to pump the sixes and was unbeaten till the end on 42 runs. Fletcher lost his wicket on the final ball for his well made 53 runs. Towards the end, the new batsman in Tom Moores flourished as he tonked a six and a couple of boundaries.
Chirag Suri the new batsman in then looked promising but took his time but was able to muster a few maximums and boundaries to create the most fruitful over in the innings for Tigers which consisted of 31 runs.
Andre continued to stay on the crease but was kept quiet through most of his innings. Afif Hossain who tried to accelerate the scoring rate from the other end lost his wicket in trying to hit one towards the longest side of the ground and was caught.
Andre Fletcher who was still injured was not able to run to the fullest. He hit a boundary and a maximum to get things moving for his side. Raiz was hit for a couple of boundaries in the final over but he put up quite the exhibition with the ball to keep things quiet.
Coming in to chase the second-highest total in this league, the Tigers needed the likes of Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher to get their side off to a screamer of a start. That wasn't the case to be as Charles looked to slog balls right from the start was clean bowled sending his side on the back foot straightaway.
Andre was sent back into the hut on the first ball of the previous over. Tom Moores the new batsman in provided a late flourish and some clean striking from him helping the Tigers move past the 130 run mark. A decent effort nonetheless by them as they lose the game by just 30 runs in the end.
Over: 10 | Summary: W 1 2nb 6 4 4 1 Bowler: Junaid Siddique Score: 132/3
9.6 Junaid Siddique to Tom Moores, hits it straight onto his boot this time. Full outside the off-stump, he has a big heave and gets a thick inside edge
9.5 Junaid Siddique to Tom Moores, FOUR! Slower and full on the stumps, takes the front leg away and bombards it straight back with the bowler and the umpire running for cover
9.4 Junaid Siddique to Tom Moores, FOUR! A late flourish from Tom Moores. Full outside the off-stump reaches it and hits it through the covers for a boundary. Another good shot from Tom here and he looks all set to bat out till the end
9.3 Junaid Siddique to Tom Moores, SIX! Short delivery once again, doesn't get it off the middle of the bat but has enough on that pull to clear the fence. Waits for that ball to reach to him does Tom and he is underway!
9.3 Junaid Siddique to Chirag Suri, sharp bouncer from Siddique hurrying the batsman on his pull, mistimes it to mid-wicket. It is a NO BALL as well!
9.2 Junaid Siddique to Tom Moores, full toss just under the waist, mistimes it to deep mid-wicket for a single
Tom Moores is the batsman in for Bangla Tigers!
9.1 Junaid Siddique to Andre Fletcher, OUT! Gets the yorker right, Fletcher is sitting deep in the crease but can't get any connection, pins him on the pads. It might have been marginally down the leg-stump, but the umpire feels it is clipping
Chirag is putting on some show for the Tigers as he hit his 5th six in this innings and has moved on to 41 runs of just 15 balls. Unfortunately too much to do towards the end as the target is out of reach for the Tigers. They are 49 runs away from the target

Junaid Siddique comes on to bowl the final over
