That's it for tonight's game, we take your leave. It was a dramatic nail-biter clash between the two teams that started off on a winning note in the World Cup. See you all again in tomorrow's clash between Australia and West Indies.
The Captains:

Kane Williamson: Nice to get across the line, the first half was outstanding the fielding was excellent. Not the ,most clinical effort with the bat. Few soft dismissals but a good experience to have in this tournament. Santner was outstanding with the ball, we were expecting a little more pace from the surface but guys adjusted to build pressure. The guys on the sidelines, there have been niggles, but they're improving.

Mashrafe Mortaza: it was a good wicket, we were 20-30 short, the outfield was slow, I think we lost too many wickets after people getting set and getting out. Yeah, obviously, he (Taylor) was a set batsman but in the end we knew we had to get the wickets but credit goes to them for getting over the line. We still have seven matches left, we have to go one by one, hopefully we can come back next match
Speaking of Ross Taylor, he's the Man of the Match: "Definitely, very nervous in the end, credit to Bangladesh, they put pressure on us, could have gone either way. the bowler's bowled well, but they kept putting pressure on us and we kept losing wickets but it was good to get over the line. Couple of close calls running between the wickets but I enjoy batting with Kane, hopefully we can run better against Afghanistan."
The World Cup was mostly about one-sided games but this game has brought the contest back into life. HAppy faces in the New Zealand dressing room balcony. Friends and family are excited to and the FANS! The fans are the happiest. What a cracker of a contest! Bangladesh were without a doubt brilliant, especially with their bowling. It was a nail-biter right till the end, especially since Ross Taylor departed.

New Zealand now have a 5-0 World cup record against Bangladesh.
Santner hits the winning runs! Hits it through extra cover and to the boundary. New Zealand have won by 2 wickets. This was close, really really close.

47.1 FOUR! Mustafizur Rahman to Mitchell Santner. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, past deep cover for 4 runs.
And that's a FOUR! Scores level.

Huge relief for New Zealand and their fans.
