Bangladesh 149/3 (33.2 ov)
Bangladesh won by 7 wickets
Player of the match: Mehidy Hasan
That caps off another dominating performance for the hosts. They seal the series with one game still to come. Another forgetful game for the visitors, who will now look to bounce back in the last game of the series. The third and final game of the series will be played on Monday, 25th January 2021. Join us for the action then and stay tuned at SportsKeeda for all the cricket action around the globe. For now, it is goodbye from Ankit and I. Cheers and take care!
Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh captain : It was nice to spend some time in the middle as a batsman. There is a lot of hunger in the dressing room and players are fighting for a spot in the XI, which is a hallmark of every top team and very healthy for us as well. We've been working really hard in the nets, so there's no complains. Everyone should get a chance to play, even the ones that aren't playing now have the potential to play really well and we might make some changes for the last game.
Mehidy Hasan, Man of the match : I'm really happy. Just very happy to play cricket after a long time and also being given this award after really long. I wasn't too happy with my performance in the first ODI, but I worked with the bowling coaches and they gave me some valuable advice, which I applied and reaped the benefits of. Tamim(Iqbal) and I played together in the BPL and that's helped me a lot in the recent months.
Jason Mohammed, West Indies captain : Yeah obviously it's a little bit disappointing. The wicket was better than the first game but we failed to put runs on the board. We kept losing wickets in clusters and never built a partnership, that's why we failed to score and that's just not good enough. Powell and Akeal did well, there were some positives but hopefully other guys in the dressing room step up as well.
The poor batting performance continued in this second ODI, as the top order crumbled to 41/5 at one stage of this game. The experience of the captain Jason Mohammed couldn't help his side stabilize the innings, as Rovman Powell got them to a respectable total of 148. It wasn't the defeat that will hurt the West Indians in this series, but perhaps the manner of it that will be a real cause of concern going forward.

As for Bangladesh, they've cruised through this innings and series. The side has flourished under the captaincy of Tamim Iqbal as they look like a really solid unit now. They've been bolstered by the return of their talisman, Shakib Al Hasan, who hit the ground running with the ball and bat in the two matches played so far. Their bowling unit has done an exceptional job as well, with Mustafizur Rahman leading the line, but it was spinner, Mehidy Hasan, who bagged a four-for today, to pierce through the Windies middle order as they completed another thumping win!
That's that! Bangladesh take an unassailable lead in this home series against the West Indies. It's been a dominating performance by the
The Bangla tigers, who are roaring with pride for their beloved cricket team that is trying to close the gap on the top sides. The return of cricket on their home soil has got off to a positive start with this series. Bangladesh look like a formidable side and the return of their talisman, Shakib Al Hasan has certainly bolstered their spirits, as he alongside Tamim Iqbal, got through most of this run chase.

It's another disappointing game for the West Indians, who didn't have much of a squad to play with in this series but make no mistake about it, they do have a lot to play for. After making their intentions clear about wanting to avoid the qualifying stages for the World Cup in 2023, the Windies are unfortunately heading down the same road they did last time out.
That's the end of that! Bangladesh win by 7 wickets and go 2-0 up in the series.
Over: 34 | Summary: 1 1 Bowler: Akeal Hosein Score: 149/3
33.2 Akeal Hosein to Mushfiqur Rahim, full delivery fired into the pads, no wide signalled by the umpire but the batsmen scamper through for a single regardless.

Bangladesh win by 7 wickets.
33.1 Akeal Hosein to Shakib Al Hasan, good length delivery on middle stump, Shakib uses his feet to guide it down to long on for a single. Just 1 run to get now!
Only two runs off that over. That leaves the Tamim Iqbal's men with 2 to win off the last 17 overs. It's always been a question of when this chase gets over, and not if. Looks like the end is not too far away. Akeal Hosein will continue.
Over: 33 | Summary: 0 0 1 0 1 0 Bowler: Alzarri Joseph Score: 147/3
32.6 Alzarri Joseph to Mushfiqur Rahim, full delivery on off stump, driven firmly by Rahim but it's straight to the man at mid off
32.5 Alzarri Joseph to Shakib Al Hasan, a tad bit short on the pads, tucked with soft hands towards midwicket to get another single and inch closer to the win
32.4 Alzarri Joseph to Shakib Al Hasan, good length delivery on top of off stump, was the slower one as Shakib had to wait for it as he tapped it back to the bowler
32.3 Alzarri Joseph to Mushfiqur Rahim, a tad bit short outside off stump, Rahim taps it in the gap at point and gets a quick single
32.2 Alzarri Joseph to Mushfiqur Rahim, good length delivery angling into the batsman, who gets in line of the delivery to tap it back to the bowler
32.1 Alzarri Joseph to Mushfiqur Rahim, short of a length delivery on middle stump, Rahim taps it off the backfoot, to the man at point
Forget what I've been saying all this while. Bangladesh are now galloping towards their target. This game is all but over. We're probably one shot away. Four to win. Alzarri Joseph will bowl his last over.
