That brings us to the end of a one-sided contest which saw, Barbados Royals thrashing Trinbago Knight Riders by 80 runs (DLS method). Till the next time, it's ta-ta and good night from the commentary box. This is Arya Sekhar Chakraborty signing off on the behalf of my fellow commentator Pradeep.
David Miller has been adjudged the Player of the Match for his knock of 60 of 36 deliveries.
Earlier in the day, it was the TKR skipper Kieron Pollard who won the toss and put Barbados Royals in which in the end proved to be a disastrous decision. Kyle Mayers started off in a blazing fashion, smashing Sunil Narine for a six and a four to get things underway. He continued the onslaught during the powerplay and found an able ally in Quinton de Kock. Reading the situation very well, QDK decided to play second fiddle and it was only after the dismissal of Mayers that QDK started taking the onus on hismelf to find the bpundaries.
David Miller, the Royals skipper was the next man in and after struggling for the initial part, he started taking a liking to the TKR bowlers. He clobbered his way to a 36 balls 60 while which included 5 fours and a couple of sixes. Azam Khan, the mighty hitter from Pakistan scored a quickfire 18 of just 11 deliveries while the final punch was provided by Jason Holder. He smashed a couple of sixes in the final over to take his side over the 190 mark. Narine, Rampaul and Andre Russell bagged a wicket each for the Trinbago Knight Riders.
The run-chase never took off for the Trinbago Knight Riders. It was an impressive start by Webster and Sunil Narine, scoring 12 of the first over. However there was a cluster of wickets from the 2nd over and the TKR batting line-up couldn’t quite recover from that. Narine’s intention was clear and was castled in a bid to continue the onslaught. Colin Munro struck a four and a six before departing of an impressive short delivery from Jason Holder.
Devon Thomas, the off break bowler bagged two crucial wickets in his very first over which firmly put TKR on the backfoot. Andre Russell was still there in the crease but the mountain was too steep to climb even for someone like Russell. He tried to up the ante and had to depart in his attempt. It was a top-class effort from the majority of the Barbados Royals bowlers as they never allowed TKR to get going.
They kept losing wickets one after the other and couldn’t quite claw their way back. When the match was halted for the 3rd time owing to rain, Royals was 80 runs ahead as per DLS method. Oshane Thomas, Devon Thomas and Obed McCoy was the pick of the bowlers for Barbados Royals, bagging a couple of wickets each. For TKR, it was only Colin Munro who reached double figures.
11:35 PM IST- The rain is very heavy at the moment. Live visuals show that the captains are shaking their hands. This could be the end of a one-sided affair. We will get a confirmation pretty soon.
11:20 PM IST- It's pelting down at the moment and this should be it. We haven't lost any overs till now but looking at the live visuals, it will be highly unlikely if the match restarts. Barbados Royals are 80 runs ahead on DLS.
11:04 PM IST- The covers are coming on yet again as the rain has gotten significantly heavier here.
A few drops of rain can be noticed in the live visuals. Now it is getting a bit heavier.
That is a brilliant over from the leggie. Spinning a web around the tail-enders. Only formalities left from here on.

7.6 Hayden Walsh Jr to Khary Pierre, another wrong'un, good length and turning away but Pierre gets inside the line and defends it into the off-side.
7.5 Hayden Walsh Jr to Khary Pierre, OH WOW! Wrong'un that Pierre gets outfoxed of. Good length, turning away, Pierre on the backfoot plays for the leg-stump but gets beaten all ends up.
7.4 Hayden Walsh Jr to Anderson Phillip, drops it short on the outside off, Phillip on the backfoot, punches it to deep covers for just one.
7.3 Hayden Walsh Jr to Anderson Phillip, good length delivery, drifts in on the outside off, Phillip lunges to defend.
Hayden Walsh Jr, right arm leg break bowler into the attack.
7.2 Hayden Walsh Jr to Khary Pierre, full on the outside off, Pierre lunges and lifts it over Phillip, down to long-off for just a single.
7.1 Hayden Walsh Jr to Anderson Phillip, LOUD SHOUT FOR LBW, NOT GIVEN! Googly to begin with, good length, turning into Phillip who presses to defend but misses, raps on the pad and they sneak in a leg-bye. Miller reviews it though, UltraEdge had nothing off the bat. Ball tracking has TWO REDS and Wickets Umpire's call, that was a close one in the end!
The run-chase never took off and Russell's wicket should be the final nail in the coffin. Another impressive over from Oshane Thomas as he gets his second. Royals on the brink of a comprehensive victory.
