After playing 10 matches at the Brian Lara Stadium, the next phase of CPL will take on the Queen's Park Oval's pitch. The deck here is expected to assist the pacers and as the pitch will deteriorate, the spinners will come into play.
According to AccuWeather, the weather will be sunny with few patches of cluds swirling around the Trinidad sky . The maximum temperature will be 34 degree celsius and the humidity will be 75 percent.
Barbados Tridents will be coming into this match on the back of a loss against Trinbago Knight Riders. It has been that kind of a start for the two time champions who haven't been able to find any sort of rhythm.

St. Kitts are digging a hole for themselves. Three matches played and still no points in the bag. The team needs some quick turnaround in fiortune and need it know, otherwise, the race to the playoffs will become really difficult in the coming times.
A beautiful victory for the SKNP as they win by 6 runs. They won the toss and elected to field first and restricted the Tridents to 151 in their 20 overs. They started off well with Chris Lynn and Evin Lewis firing all cylinders as they got to 41 in the powerplay overs. Brute striking from Evin Lewis and pressure blitzkreig from Ben Dunk ensured victory for the ST. Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Tridents will not be quite happy with their bowling card as only Kyle Mayers and Jason Holder contained the flow of runs and picked wickets. In the end, SKNP beat the Tridents by 6 wickets
Evin Lewis has been declared the man of the match for his 89 runs in 60 balls
That's all we have from this match of CPL as I, Lavil Saldanha and my colleague, Maanas Upadhyay sign off. Do check Sportskeeda for all sports related news, blogs and live commentaries. Until next time, it's good bye from our side, CIAO!
What a nail-biting finish to a cracker of a contest. The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots win their first match of the season as they edge past the Barbados Tridents by 6 wickets!
19.3 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, SIX! Stand and Deliver! Dunk has done it!! Length ball on the body and Dunk holds his ground and slogs it over mid-wicket for a maximum! What a comeback by Dunk! After failing to connect in the beginning of his innings, he calmed himself down and has steered his side for victory!
19.2 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, SIX! Full ball outside off and Dunk holds his shape and smacks that over covers for a huge maximum! That is a top shot by Dunk! Saw the line that Young was bowling and decided to play towards the off side instead of slogging it over the leg side! Just 6 runs required off 4 balls now! The job is still not done though.
19.1 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, no run, length ball outside off and Dunk goes for the big heave but misses. Dunk takes off for the single but gets back just in time as Hope hits the stumps.
19.1 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, WIDE ball outside off to begin with.
An excellent 19th over from Mayers as he picks up a wicket and concedes only 9 runs. 13 required off the last 6 balls. We are going down the wire for this!!
18.6 Kyle Mayers to Ben Dunk, full toss on the body mistimed to long off for a single. Missed opportunity for Dunk, could have dispatched that into the stands!
18.5 Kyle Mayers to Ben Dunk, full toss on the body pulled towards deep square leg for a couple of runs.
18.4 Kyle Mayers to Ben Dunk, FOUR! Cheeky! Full toss outside off and Dunk reverse-scoops it over third man for a boundary! Dunk goes cheeky and gets the result on the occasion.
Sohail Tanvir, left arm bat, has come out in the middle
18.3 Kyle Mayers to Evin Lewis, OUT! full ball outside off and Lewis goes for the loft over long off. Ends up slicing it in the air and straight into the hands of the long off fielder! Lewis does the unthinkable here and loses his wicket to quite a mediocre ball. Goes back in the hut for a well made 89
18.2 Kyle Mayers to Ben Dunk, yorker outside off dug out to cover for a single. Pressure on Lewis now!
18.1 Kyle Mayers to Evin Lewis, full ball outside off squeezed out to long off for a single.
9 runs from the over, Patriots are on 130/3 after 18 overs, needing 22 runs in the last 12 balls
17.6 Nyeem Young to Evin Lewis, length ball outside off slapped to long off for a single. A pretty decent over by Young after being dispatched on the first ball.
17.5 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, length ball on the leg stump that hits Dunk on the body and deflects to square leg for a single.
17.4 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, no run, full ball outside off that does not bounce. Dunk goes for the big slog but misses.
17.3 Nyeem Young to Ben Dunk, wide yorker and Dunk cannot connect. Dot ball!
17.2 Nyeem Young to Evin Lewis, full ball outside off driven to long off for a single.
