Commentary

A thoroughly clinical performance from Cyprus Moufflons in this game! Winning by 44 runs in the end and they were just as good with the ball as they were with the bat. The Black Caps never really looked like they were in the chase right from the start as they struggled to score. They kept losing wickets as well and were out of the game way before it actually ended.

Gurdeep Sharma and Lakhwinder Singh picking two wickets each in what was a complete display with the ball. The Black Caps lacked intent, could not get themselves going and let the bowlers dominate them all through the innings.

It was a completely disappointing show from them as they did not competent with the ball or bat either. These two sides meet again in the second fixture and they will look to bounce back from this defeat. However, it will not be an easy task given the way this game has gone for them.

Cyprus Moufflons will take confidence from this performance and will want to complete the double over the Black Caps. This win will certainly lift their spirits as a side going forward into the tournament.
