Thanks a lot for joining us- Pragadeesh and Mohul Bhowmick- for this exciting game in the WBBL. The Scorchers imposed themselves nicely upon the Heat and picked up the points on offer. See you soon!
Let us hear from the Perth Scorchers Women's skipper Sophie Devine, who is also the Player of the Match: Batting with Beth Mooney feels so nice. She makes things look so easy and guides you through everything. She is a very intelligent batter and helped me a lot today. It was an innings of two halves today. We were struggling a bit in the beginning but we knew that if we stuck around, we could score freely in the second half. There are always runs to be had on this ground. We had a nice barbecue at Mooney's house last night, and it helped us all switch off a bit and rejuvenate. We are on the road all the time, and it helps to get away from the game for some time.
Perth Scorchers Women beat Brisbane Heat Women by 39 runs!
The Scorchers showcased today why they are among the top-rated sides in this tournament. Skipper Sophie Devine led the way with both bat and ball and ensured that her all-round performance won the game for her side.
She scored a century with the bat in hand earlier in the day and they came back to pick up two wickets with the ball. Medium pacer Piepa Cleary did extremely well, picking up three wickets and breaking the backbone of the Heat batting order.
The Heat will be extremely disappointed with this showing of theirs, given that they pride themselves upon chasing. They have now lost the last two matches that they have played.
This will hurt their standing in the table, but skipper Jess Jonassen can be trusted to have a word with her lieutenants and change things around for them. The Scorchers were by far the better side on display tonight.
That will be that!

Alana King is back into the attack.
Cleary came back into the attack for her fourth over and picked up two crucial wickets. She has had a brilliant day on the field with the ball in hand.
