And that brings an end to our live coverage. Join us again tomorrow as RCB and MI look to keep their tournament hopes alive with a win at Bengaluru.
Shane Watson, Man Of The Match: "I wanted to help the team in the previous games but to be able to play this innings against DD is a good confidence builder. I was targeting the short side of the ground and wind was also blowing in that direction. It was good to get few out of the middle.Trent Boult is a world class bowler and MS hit him really well. He is hitting the ball incredibly as well as he has ever hit."
MS Dhoni: "Back is bad but nothing much can be done. I have not been training much because of it. There is a bit of pain but I think I will manage. It is very important for us to get a good platform and then I can promote myself up the order. Looking at the wicket we thought we needed an overseas batsmen.

"With Faf opening and Rayudu it gives more stability to the batting order. Rayudu can bat anywhere in the order and he is keen to take any responsibility. Lungi has impressed me right from the South Africa. If he keeps coming good it will be good for us. Eliminators will be at the small ground and we will have to think about our death bowling. Bowlers have to adapt otherwise we will have to look at other options."
Shreyas Iyer: "Too many runs on the board. I would like to complain about the first ball wicket (smiles). It did not go our way and that could have made a massive impact in the match. The way Watson started it totally changed the game. Not only me, the whole dressing room and obviously you also think the same - that ball hit the pad first and then the bat (laughs).

"We got really close and it is a positive going into the next match. We need to win 6 in the remaining 6 matches and that is the only motivation going forward. We need to point out the mistakes we have done and we will try to bounce back strong. We will be having a meeting with management regarding the team changes. If we try to keep the team stable, we will do well in the upcoming matches."
Lungi Ngidi: "Very exciting moment. Very lovely to be out there. In pressure situations, you find out how good you are. Definitely, your margin for error is very small. Too full and it is six. Too short and it goes for six as well. At the end when the nerves get up, it is good to play under MS. Cool and calm."
Chennai have returned to winning ways with their sixth victory, while Delhi have just lost as many matches out of eight. Shane Watson and MS Dhoni took CSK to 211 with their blazing knocks; their bowlers, though shaken up a bit towards the end, were led by debutant Lungi Ngidi and Harbhajan Singh.

Delhi's middle-order flopped yet again with Rishabh Pant fighting a lone battle. They must now win all of their remaining six matches to qualify for the play-offs, something which seems highly unlikely seeing their poor form so far.
Over 20 DD: 198/5(RR 9.90) Bowler: L Ngidi Sum..: wd 1 6 wd 2 1 1 1
19.6 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, 1 run, another brilliant yorker to finish the game and CSK beat DD by 13 runs. With that win, CSK go back to the top of the table.
19.5 Ngidi to Tewatia, 1 run, excellent wide yorker from Ngidi and Tewatia can just dig that out to cover.
19.4 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, 1 run, excellent ball from Ngidi and that should be the game. Shankar backs away and doesn't connect. He is kicking himself. He left all his notes to study on the day of the exam. Too much to do at the end.
19.3 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, 2 runs, Vijay Shankar goes for a slog over cover but that just lobs over cover and they pick up a couple. The duo of Bravo and Asif is a little slow in deciding and collecting the ball.
19.3 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, WIDE, sprays it down leg. Inexperience? He surely has sweaty hands.
19.2 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, SIX, Vijay Shankar backs away to the leg side and he hits another six. FIFTY from just 28 balls. He can use the long handle, but he was playing with a toothpick all this while.
19.1 Ngidi to Tewatia, 1 run, Tewatia tries to cut that over mid-off but it trickles on the bounce to mid-off for a single.
19.1 Ngidi to Tewatia, WIDE, too wide from Ngidi. False start, needs to run back to his bowling mark.
Over 19 DD: 184/5(RR 9.68) Bowler: D Bravo Sum..: 1 1 wd 6 6 . 6
18.6 Bravo to Vijay Shankar, SIX, another slower ball and Bravo has been taken to the cleaners. Too little, too late for DD. Should Vijay Shankar have done this earlier?
18.5 Bravo to Vijay Shankar, no run, full toss arrowed into the pads and that is a dot ball. Just the ball CSK fans have been crying out for.
18.4 Bravo to Vijay Shankar, SIX, two in two for Vijay Shankar. Ambati Rayudu is not amused, somewhere on the field. Questions the lengths bowled by Bravo with a sorry look on his face and a big question mark on his head. Bravo is playing in Vijay Shankar's hands and he is making merry.
18.3 Bravo to Vijay Shankar, SIX, Vijay Shankar stays back and gets a six over long on. Where has he suddenly got this from? The plastic bat has suddenly transformed into a springy piece of wood.
18.3 Bravo to Vijay Shankar, WIDE, The bad back won't stop him from tumbling across and stopping wides with one hand.
18.2 Bravo to Tewatia, 1 run, Tewatia tries to slog that but it just goes on the bounce to Faf at long off.
18.1 Bravo to Vijay Shankar, 1 run, slower ball and Vijay Shankar tries to clobber that but doesn't get the right contact. The ball drags along, sadly, to long on.
Over 18 DD: 163/5(RR 9.06) Bowler: L Ngidi Sum..: lb 4 . W 1 .
17.6 Ngidi to Tewatia, no run, Tewatia backs away and makes no contact with the ball. That's too tight for him to get some score on the board.
17.5 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, DROPPED, Short ball from Ngidi and Dhoni's back aches comes back to haunt him as he can't catch that. That stiff back needs some care. Not awkward one-handed attempts at catching skiers. He could have turned around and tried to chase it, but he might have misread the trajectory.
17.4 Ngidi to Pant, OUT, tradition wins out in the end. Lungi gets Pant. A valiant effort but Jadeja takes a simple catch at deep cover to get rid of Pant. That should bring out all the Lungi, Pant, underwear jokes from the wilderness.
17.3 Ngidi to Pant, no run, Pant goes for another huge swing but he misses as that is too wide. Lungi wins round two but this is by no means a sprint but a marathon.
17.2 Ngidi to Pant, FOUR, Lungi to Pant and how he gets that ball down past long on, I will never know. Slower ball and Pant wins round one against Lungi. Again slow. He needs to put every inch of his spine to gather energy on that. Thank god he's young. The back must be getting some thwack in the process.
17.1 Ngidi to Vijay Shankar, 1 run, on the pads and Shankar misses out. He is disappointed with himself. Shankar is not finding the wood on his bat. Feels like he's playing with one of those plastic bats hung outside just about every toy shop in India.
