Oden Smith (Player of the match): Well I have been doing the hitting from the start of the contest and I did the same today as well. Yes it's always our tactic to bowl Mills at the back end. Well, we don't know what tomorrow will bring but we are up for it.

Wahab Riaz (Deccan Gladiators skipper): The team has been awesome throughout the tournament. Russell batting at the start and bowling that crucial floating powerplay as well, each and every player contributed well. Well, I expect the boys to not take any pressure and let's go all out in the finals tomorrow.

In the end, the Bulls feel just 17 runs short, probably a couple of betters with the ball towards the end and the outcome could have been different in this contest. Nonetheless, the Gladiators go through into the finals but the Bulls get another chance to book a place in the finals as they have to play the second qualifier later tonight.

Later on, Morgan did provide some sparks as he clobbered Russell to all parts and but he lost his wicket right towards the end of the over. The target after that started to drift away further and further away from the Bulls and the Gladiators looked the firm to win this contest.

However, Hemraj lost his wicket and the scoring rate slowed down for the Bulls. However, Rutherford the new man in alongside Gurbaz started to find the boundaries constantly and kept their side in the chase. Gurbaz tried to find more boundaries and lost his wicket to Hasaranga.

Coming in to chase 140 in 60 balls the Bulls had just the start that they needed. Hemraj got going early on and smashed the boundaries and sixes. Gurbaz the other opener did find the boundaries but was rather playing the support role.

Mills does get taken to the fence a couple of times in that over but the Gladiators had a lot to play with In the bank. With that, the Gladiators go straight into the finals. The Bulls will have to come out and play again in the second qualifier.
