The match will be played on a relatively new wicket. This means that the pitch, along with the short boundaries, will aid batsmen to play big shots. One shouldn't forget that the dew setting in later in the evening will make life futher difficult for bowlers. Hence, the captain winning the toss should opt to field first and restrict the opposition to something between 180 and 190 runs.
It will be a hot and humid evening with temperatures ranging between 29 and 27 degree celsius. We are in for full 40 overs.
While it is a must-win game for the SunRisers Hyderabad, Virat Kohli too wouldn't want to retreat for a win tonight would guarantee them a place in the top 4 after 4 long years. Bowling has been a cause of concern for RCB off late, and they need to step up tonight for the SunRisers have the highest run-rate (8.24) in the powerplay and have lost the least number of wickets (9). On top of that, Devdutt Padikkal and Joshua Philippe need to get RCB off to a steady start for Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers to take it deep and finish the innings in style. On the other hand, SRH were dealt a big blow as Vijay Shankar has been ruled out for the remainder of the season. That means that there will be extra pressure on the likes of David Warner and Manish Pandey to put enough runs on the board for the SRH bowlers to able to defend.
Mumbai Indians have beaten Delhi Capitals by nine wickets.
They chased down the target of 111 runs in 14.2 overs
After restricting the Delhi Capitals to a paltry total of 110 runs, Mumbai continued the momentum going into the chase. After Ishan Kishan and Quinton de Kock played cautiously in the initial three overs of the match (just 10 runs), Kishan turned the screws on the DC bowlers to launch an onslaught.
Kishan took on the heavyweight Kagiso Rabada scoring 11 runs off his second over and continued to attack all the DC bowlers as QDK labored alongside him. QDK had to depart on 26 after he played the ball onto his stumps and was unable to prevent it from hitting the stumps.
Kishan had survived an LBW wicket earlier off Praveen Dubey and had it overturned with the DRS check. He made the most of his life as he raced off to his half-century to steer MI close to the target. Along with Suryakumar Yadav, Kishan led MI past the target with ease and finished the match off in his flamboyant style with a smashing sixer! Ishan Kishan was rightfully awarded the Man of the Match award for his knock of 72 runs in 47 balls peppered with eight boundaries and three sixers!
With this win, Mumbai Indians are now assured of a top-two spot in the IPL 2020 standings and will be going comfortably into the final day encounter against SRH!
This loss means that Delhi Capitals have now lost their fourth match in a row and the quick chase by MI also meant that their NRR has taken a hit dropping below that of the Kings XI Punjab, who are positioned fourth with 12 points compared to DC's 14 points. DC will next take on fellow playoff contenders Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, which could potentially be a top-two spot deciding encounter!
One-sided affair to start the weekend off but we are in for a treat ahead as the IPL 2020 action continues with all the coverage right here at Sportskeeda. This is Gaurav Kadam, and my colleague, Maanas Upadhyay signing off for now as RCB take on SRH soon! Stay safe and enjoy the weekend full of cricket ahead!
Anrich Nortje is back in for the Delhi Capitals side and starts off with a dot ball. Howver, Kishan is back on his case and smashes him over the leg side to seal the win with a six!

14.2 Anrich Nortje to Ishan Kishan, SIX! Kishan finishes off in style! Full ball on the leg stump angling in, Kishan nonchalantly flicks that away for a huge maximum over square leg! 13.1 Praveen Dubey to Suryakumar Yadav, full ball on the middle stump spinning away, Surya punches that down to long on for a single.
Ashwin comes in for his final over of the match and Kishan continues his aggresive play against the spinner smashing for a four after starting the over with a paddle sweep that got him two runs. Four more runs added in the over as Ashwin concedes 10 in his fourth over
