Shreyas Iyer: A great feeling, especially when you're leading for the first time. All of us contributed, not only me. It was a really nice toss to lose, because we were gonna bowl first. Batting gave us freedom to express ourselves. The last 90 was while chasing while this was while batting first but both were satisfying. Shaw's been batting well since the start of the season, and the way he's playins magnificent. Colin Munro, too, along with him gave us a fifty-run partnership. Plunkett, he's the go-to guy in the bowling line-up, and the way he came to me and said he'd want to bowl the 16th or 17th over, that's good to see from a senior like him
Here is what the losing captain, Dinesh Karthik, had to say: It was a big target. If the dew came, it may have been easier, but no dew came and they batted much better than us. When Russell bats, it always gives us hope. But he's a human, and we need to raise our hands and say we didn't play well today. The spinners did okay today actually. We need to raise our fielding standards. We didn't field well, and that should turn things around for us.

Trent Boult is handed the Purple Cap. He has picked up 11 wickets in the tournament so far.
That is as comprehensive as it gets for the Delhi Daredevils. They were put into bat by Dinesh Karthik, and got a perfect start through young Prithvi Shaw, who became the youngest half-centurion in the IPL. The new captain Shreyas Iyer blew away any notions of pressure, by smacking a 40-ball 93 to propel Delhi to 219. The bowlers then followed that up magnificently, by taking four wickets in the powerplay. Shubman Gill played some pristine shots and Andre Russell dismissed a few out of his presence to give KKR a glimmer of hope, but that was quickly shut out by the Daredevils bowlers. They have got out of 8th spot, for now, and will be looking to push on with the momentum that this 55-run win will give them.

17.6 Khan to Johnson, 1 run. Looks for the yorker once again but it ends up being a full toss and Johnson edges it to third man
What a season Avesh Khan is having!!! After a fine performance in his first match of the season against Kings XI Punjab, Avesh is looking good against KKR. What a ball it was. A dream ball for any bowler in the death overs.
17.5 Khan to Russell, OUT! BOWLED! AND HE GETS HIM THIS TIME! After all those short deliveries, bowls the perfect yorker this time to shatter the stumps
17.4 Khan to Russell, no run. Another short delivery and Russell just cant connect. Excellent bowling!
17.3 Khan to Russell, no run. Looks to heave it over square leg but mistimes it to long on. Denies the single once again
17.2 Khan to Russell, no run. Full toss and he fails to get it away once again, mistimes it to deep midwicket and denies the single
17.1 Khan to Chawla, 1 run. Waits for it and pokes his bat out to guide it down to third man
KKR need 77 runs off 18 balls to win. Don't lose heart KKR fans. Your team just need 13 sixes off 18 balls.
