That is it from us at Sportskeeda for the twin matches today. Do catch us live tomorrow for another double header Sunday. Till then, it is good night and goodbye.
Another tough day in the office for Delhi. After two mind blowing matches, they were skittled out like nine pins on a day when everything worked for Mumbai - first the promotion of Pollard, then Pandya's finisher gamble and last but not the least, Rohit Sharma's smart bowling changes. They have cruised into the play-offs leaving Delhi with much to ponder. Delhi remain sixth with little possibility of a berth in the play-offs.
"I have been practicing hard. I guess I am good as a replacement. We had a good powerplay and Parthiv did well. The wicket was slow and flat. Batting with Pollard is great and we just back our strengths," says replacement Lendl Simmons after a match-defining knock.
Man of the Match - Lendl Simmons
"The opening partnership set the game for us. Pollard finished off well. The bowling unit did so well and we won by a big margin. Our bench strength is strong and Simmons has done it for us in the past. That gives so much freedom to others. There was dew and bowlers did pretty well in the first six overs. We are happy to qualify," says a proud captain Rohit Sharma, who leads his team to the play offs.

Time for the presentation.
Delhi are all but out of the tournament. They can at most get to 14 points now, which means SRH and KXIP must lose all their remaining matches, a realistic impossibility.
Thus, Mumbai have now officially become the first team to qualify for the play-offs with 18 points and three games to go.
So that is it. No fight from Delhi tonight. They were expected to hammer the Mumbai bowling particularly after the fireworks of Samson and Pant two days ago. A shameful performance to be bowled out for 66. It was the same team that had been blown away for 67 against KXIP a couple of days ago. Mumbai's strategy of promoting Pollard up to number 3 to bash the bowling right away worked wonders, and Hardik Pandya's finishing act of 29* off 14 proved to be more than enough.
"We had a plan for them and we started well with the ball. But Simmons' shots and Pollard's hitting meant they had 200 on the board. 190-odd would have been good but 200 was possible. The dew was expected to help us. We must stay positive and regroup before our next match and play good cricket," are the words of a sorry Zaheer Khan, who just returned after injury.
13.4 OUT! Caught. Karn Sharma to Zaheer Khan. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air under control to long off, by Rana. Done, finally! Ten are gone, and so are Delhi out of the tournament.
13.3 Karn Sharma to Zaheer Khan. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Patel.
13.2 Karn Sharma to Zaheer Khan. Leg spinner half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Patel.
13.1 Karn Sharma to Zaheer Khan. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot defending, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Patel.
Pandya has a ball, though it would have been preferred had Rohit Sharma brought on a spinner - even himself - into the attack on this spinning track where Delhi are struggling against turn.
