Well, that's it from us, here at Sportskeeda. With tomorrow being the rest day, do catch us on Tuesday, 16th of May for the all exciting Qualifier 1 between MI and SRH from the Wankhede. Till then, its goodnight and goodbye from us.
Well there you go, skipper Kohli has probably given a big relief to the RCB fans tonight. The retention policy will possibly remain for the next season. And that means Kohli will proudly play-on as a 'one-club' player at least for few more years in the IPL.
Winning captain Kohli says, "I can't believe we won the game. It's good to finish off well, guys took it as an opportunity to do well and it is always a good feeling in front of big crowds. It has been a season to forget, a season to reflect on massively to start fresh as a franchise. It depends on how many players we can retain. We need to work around that and have identified the players with the right attitude and mindset. We can go home with a bit of happiness."
The Man of the Match: Harshal Patel
FBB Stylish Player of the match: Virat Kohli

Yes Bank Maximum sixes award: Chris Gayle

Vivo Perfect Catch of the match: Shahbaz Nadeem
Time for some presentations.
Not to forget the late contribution of Pawan Negi, like we had mentioned during the innings break, it was those 15 off runs from Negi that made the difference and in addition to that, Negi was exceptional with the ball as well. He ended up with figures of 2-0-10-3. By far, he was the most impressive play from the below par RCB contingent this year.

Finally, RCB have ended their dismal run and have notched up a win after 8 games.
DD started poorly today. The shot selection by the openers did raise some eyebrows. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer hung around in the middle to steady the home team's boat. But ever since Iyer departed, the traffic was only flowing one way and that is the RCB way. Credit to their bowlers for not letting the DD batsmen dominate. Harshal Patel was expensive but took 3 key wickets to turn the match in their favor.
What a great way to finish the season. RCB win by 10 runs. And DD will be thoroughly dejected with their effort today. 162 was very much gettable tonight and the DD side kept losing wickets and in the end, the visitors managed to end the seven-match losing streak and in the last game of the season, they have won.

19.6 OUT! Caught. Pawan Negi to Shahbaz Nadeem. Stock length ball, middle stump on the front foot Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, by Kohli. In the air-rrrr and he's out caught. That is it! RCB finally notch up a victory.

Skipper Zaheer Khan is out in the middle now.
19.2 OUT! Stumped. Pawan Negi to Mohammed Shami. Stock length ball, outside off stump no foot movement driving, missed to wicketkeeper, by Vinod. This extremely close now. Well, I reckon no part of the foot is inside the crease. The third umpire is taking his time here. OUT! He's gone.
19.1 Pawan Negi to Shahbaz Nadeem. Quicker ball back of a length, down leg side on the back foot flick, to deep backward square leg for 1 run, fielded by Jadhav.
Expensive over from the struggling Khan. Now then, 13 to get from the last over. Negi to bowl it.

18.6 FOUR! Avesh Khan to Mohammed Shami. Short, outside off stump backing away hooking, top edge in the air uncontrolled past third man for 4 runs. A big waft of the bat from Shami, and a top edge flies over the keeper's head for four! They are still in this.

18.1 Avesh Khan to Mohammed Shami. Back of a length, outside off stump backing away pulling, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Kohli. Was down with a cramp but Avesh Khan is up and running now.
