Turning out to be a close encounter in the end this! Maharashtra coming back with the wickets in the final overs but Delhi managing to go past the line in the end. Some nervy moments there and Maharashtra will feel had they taken their catches, they could have had a different result. They have only themselves to blame for after putting up a big total but failing to defend it. Delhi needed to start well and that they certainly did with Dhruv Shorey and Shikhar Dhawan at the top as the duo stitched a 136-run stand for the opening wicket, the laid the foundation and set the tone for this chase. Dhruv continuing his good run with a well made fifty at the top but the star of the show was Shikhar Dhawan! The southpaw was out of form and they needed him to come good desperately in this game, which he did as well. A daddy hundred for him as he scored 153 runs that had as many as 21 fours and a six. He took some time initially as he was looking a bit edgy but once he got himself in, he was a treat to watch as he anchored the chase.

Of course, he had all the luck he would have liked as Maharashtra put him down on several occasions, giving him lifelines which he accepted whole-heartedly going on to get a massive score. The catching was a big let off for them given how close the game got towards the end. The wicket was good to bat on and the bowlers did not have much help, which helped the batsmen get Delhi off to a flying start.

However, Maharashtra did manage to comeback well with a few quick wickets in the middle. Delhi were under pressure but Dhawan along with Kshitiz Sharma put to another 100-run stand that further took them closer towards the win. Delhi would have expected it to go to the last over but that's how this game is. In the end, it got too late for Maharashtra and they did not have enough runs left to play with as well. They will lament upon the missed opportunities for the least to say!

All in all, a high-scoring game this with lots of action, nervy moments, a fine hundred from Shikhar returning to form as well and a crucial victory for Delhi as they move ahead in the tournament. That is all we have from this game and we hope you enjoyed our coverage. This has been Rishab and my colleague Lavil as we now take your leave!
And eventually Delhi winning this game! Wouldn't have expected it to come as close as it did the way it was going at one point. The skipper finishing it off then and Maharashtra fought well. If only they had managed to hang on to the catches, the story would have been different!
49.2 Rajvardhan Hangargekar to Pradeep Sangwan, SIX! SANGWAN FINISHES OFF IN STYLE Full-length delivery wide outside the off stump, it was a half volley outside the line of the off-stump and Sangwan picks up that ball early and sends it way back in the empty stands for a huge maximum to end the game and take the team home with 3 wickets intact and 4 balls to spare
49.1 Rajvardhan Hangargekar to Pradeep Sangwan, full length delivery on the line of the off stump, Sangwan goes on the back foot and punches it back to the bowler who does well on his follow-through to stop the ball, no run. Good effort in the field! 5 off 5 needed
The field coming up to save the singles!
Delhi losing a wicket trying to get that quick single and it's going to be a matter of nerves now as we get to the end of this chase. Some risky singles being taken and a good effort from the fielders as well here. A good over this at the death under pressure and this game is still on! Maharashtra haven't given up just yet and this is good to see. The important boundary for Delhi from Lalit Yadav! That will ease the nerves a bit now going into the final over! Much-needed that was and they now need 5 runs for a victory!
Over: 49 | Summary: W 1 1 0 0 4 Bowler: Pradeep Dadhe Score: 324/7
48.6 Pradeep Dadhe to Lalit Yadav, FOUR! Full length delivery on the line of middle and the off stump, Yadav gives the ball a muscular pull to deep square leg and gets a boundary to end the over
48.5 Pradeep Dadhe to Lalit Yadav, full length ball on the line outside the off stump, Yadav plays the ball down the ground on that occasion and the fielder stops the ball on that occasion, no run. Pressure on the batsman now!
48.4 Pradeep Dadhe to Lalit Yadav, full length delivery on the line of the off stump, Yadav plays the ball away on the offside and the fielder does well to stop the ball and stop the pair from taking a single. Dot balls piling the pressure now!
48.3 Pradeep Dadhe to Pradeep Sangwan, full length delivery outside the line of the off stump, Sangwan taps the ball away to short third man and the cover region and the pair run a tight single.
48.2 Pradeep Dadhe to Lalit Yadav, length delivery on the line of the middle and the off stump, Yadav taps the ball down the ground and the pair will take a single
Pradeep Sangwan, Right Hand Bat, walks out to the crease.
Maharashtra still fighting and it's another wicket down as the batsmen looked to muster a quick single! Some drama towards the end now.
48.1 Pradeep Dadhe to Shivank Vashisht, RUN OUT! Full-length delivery outside the line of the off stump, Vashisht taps the ball really close to the fielder on that occasion and runs across the other end but fails to make it and is run out
The batsmen just looking to do it in singles now and they do not need to take any risks as well. Maharashtra doing well here but they just do not seem to have enough runs to defend at the moment. Should be easy for Delhi from here on as they are doing it nicely. Responsible batting and they need to ensure they get past the line without any further hiccups now. 11 more needed off 12 deliveries
