A terrific run-chase from Emirates, making up for all those dropped catches in the field earlier on then as they came out and got past the line rather comfortably in the end, with as many as nine wickets and seven deliveries to spare! Rizwaan CP and Mohammad Boota getting them off to a solid start, just as they would have liked chasing 121 and then Manjrekar joined Boota to finish things off, leaving Dubai no chance whatsoever to try and comeback into the contest.

A 72-run opening stand that set the tone for this chase, pushing Dubai on the backfoot and putting Emirates in a very strong position. The experienced duo of Rizwaan and Boota living up to the expectation. It was Rizwaan who take the charge playing aggressor in that stand, scoring a quickfire 40 off just 16 deliveries. Boota unbeaten on 39 and Manjrekar finishing 39 not-out as well in what was a thoroughly wonderful batting performance from the top order, just like you'd expect, especially in a run-chase.

Dubai did have the momentum after they finished well with the bat but couldn't carry it on with the ball as they failed to defend their score, or even make it a difficult chase for Emirates for that matter. Each of their bowlers were taken for runs with Hassan getting that lone wicket, which obviously wasn't going to be much of a help.

So, a comprehensive win for Emirates to start off their campaign and the tournament off and they did it in some style as well. They bowled well only until those last overs, which they will look to improve on as they go ahead. And as for the batting, we do know what they have done so they will be pleased with this win. Tough luck for Dubai in the opening game then but this is only the beginning and they will surely look to comeback strong as well!
This has been some magnificent hitting from Manjrekar ensuring they cross the line with an over to spare! What a terrific finish and some explosive hitting as Emirates get to a comfortable and convincing nine-wicket win. Absolutely one-sided chase this and a great performance from the top three batsmen to seal this off in style!
Over: 9 | Summary: 1 0 4 6 6 Bowler: Ali Anwaar Score: 0/0
8.5 Ali Anwer to Laxman Manjrekar, SIX MORE! WHAT A FINISH! It was a length ball that was dragged down on off stump, the batsman stayed back in his crease and muscled it over long-on to hand his team victory!
8.4 Ali Anwer to Laxman Manjrekar, SIX! I Full and in the slot! Manjrekar clears his front leg and swings through the line. The ball goes sailing over the outstretched arms of long-on!
8.3 Ali Anwer to Laxman Manjrekar, SHOT! FOUR! It was full and on the pads and Manjrekar picked this up beautifully before tucking it in the gap in the mid-wicket region!
8.2 Ali Anwer to Laxman Manjrekar, length ball on middle stump and it cramps the batsman for room, he ends up inside edging it back onto the pitch
8.1 Ali Anwer to Mohammad Boota, full ball on middle stump, batsman drives it down to long-on for a single
Emirates seem to be in a hurry to finish this off now as they are in touching distance of victory now. Mohammad Boota has anchored this chase and Manjrekar is also playing a good hand here. Doesn't look Dubai stand any chance in this game how things are going now!

Over: 8 | Summary: 3 1 6 1 1 1 Bowler: Muhammad Hassan Score: 108/1
7.6 Muhammad Hassan to Mohammad Boota, drags the length down again, batsman reaches out to it and pulls it to cow corner for a single
7.5 Muhammad Hassan to Laxman Manjrekar, length ball on middle stump, batsman charges down the track and slaps it to long-on for a single
7.4 Muhammad Hassan to Mohammad Boota, length ball outside off stump, batsman pulls it to deep midwicket for a single
7.3 Muhammad Hassan to Mohammad Boota, SHOT! SIX! Another one in the slot and it's gone the distance! It was full and on off stump and Boota smashed it over long-on!
7.2 Muhammad Hassan to Laxman Manjrekar, slower full ball on off stump, batsman chips it to long-on for a single
7.1 Muhammad Hassan to Mohammad Boota, length ball on middle stump, the batsman swivel pulls it past fine-leg for a couple
Just as it was turning out to be a good over for Dubai, but the two sixes from Manjrekar that would have taken some pressure off and  and Emirates continue to race along in this chase as they get closer and closer now. Another expensive over and it just doesn't seem to working for Dubai!
