Australia won by 3 wickets
Player of the match: Glenn Maxwell
So, that brings an end to our coverage of the 3rd and final ODI between England and Australia. Until next time, adios
Nerves of steel from Mitchell Starc as Australia win the ODI series with a 2-1 margin. However, this was built and won the duo of Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell with contrasting centuries. Australia were struggling at 73-5 but it took a sensational 212-run partnership between Carey and Maxwell to win this match. Credit to Carey as he was under pressure for lack of runs over recent times and Maxwell who has had an outstanding series. Maxwell, known as 'The Big Show' definitely put on a grand show by taking on Adil Rashid repeatedly through the short leg-side boundary.

Adil Rashid and Jofra Archer did make it interesting in the end by removing Maxwell and Carey respectively but captain Eoin Morgan's gamble to bowl Rashid with 10 runs required off the last over backfired as he still had Mark Wood or Tom Curran as options. The decision to bowl Chris Woakes in the 47th over was also questionable as both Jofra Archer and Mark Wood didn't complete their quota.
Australia win by 3 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
49.4 Adil Rashid to Mitchell Starc, FOUR! Flighted delivery on the leg stump, Starc sweeps it away behind square. Australia makes it! What a comeback this has been!
49.3 Adil Rashid to Pat Cummins, quicker ball angled into Cummins. He pushes it off the backfoot towards long-on.
49.2 Adil Rashid to Mitchell Starc, short ball, goes for the pull but doesn't time it. Falls well short of Bairstow at mid-wicket.
49.1 Adil Rashid to Mitchell Starc, SIX! Rashid floats it up and Starc takes it on. It was a slow googly, but it did not matter. Starc nailed it over the long-on boundary. Totally shifts the balance of the game.
What a twist in this match. Outstanding over from Jofra Archer as he removed Alex Carey off the last delivery. Superb low catch from Mark Wood too. AUS: 293/7 off 49 overs. They require 10 off six balls.
48.6 Jofra Archer to Alex Carey, OUT! Short ball outside off stump, Carey goes for the uppercut. Wood sprints and dives forward to pouch that catch at thirdman. What an excellent grab that was. And that's the end of a fantastic penultimate over from Jofra Archer. Australia need 10 runs off the final over.
48.6 Jofra Archer to Alex Carey, goes for the wider ball yet again but misses the mark marginally this time.
48.5 Jofra Archer to Alex Carey, length ball angling away. Carey tries to make room and cannot get his bat to that wide delivery.
48.4 Jofra Archer to Pat Cummins, short ball, he gets on top and plays it with soft hands. Scampers through for a single.
48.3 Jofra Archer to Pat Cummins, short ball. Cummins goes for the upper cut, but the ball follows him, gets hit on the wrist. Awkward!
48.2 Jofra Archer to Alex Carey, that was almost a non-striker killer from Carey. Curran did extremely well to stop that at mid-on.
48.1 Jofra Archer to Pat Cummins, full into the body, Cummins knocks it well on the leg side and gets off strike.
Glenn Maxwell gone in that over from Adil Rashid but one would think that this is a bit too less and too late. Seven runs of the over. AUS: 289/6 off 48 overs. They require 14 off 12 balls.
47.6 Adil Rashid to Pat Cummins, throws it wide of off stump, going for the google. Cummins drives it straight towards long-off. He will keep strike for the 49th over against Archer.
47.5 Adil Rashid to Alex Carey, short outside the off stump, pushes it away towards point for a single.
47.4 Adil Rashid to Alex Carey, he gets past the short fine leg with the sweep this time and that is enough for them to come back for a second.
47.3 Adil Rashid to Glenn Maxwell, OUT! Rashid floats it up and Maxwell goes for the slog sweep once again. Gets the top edge straight to Tom Curran at short thirdman. He almost makes a meal of it before touching it safely.
