Commentary

That's all we have from this game, folks. It's double-header day, so we have another fascinating contest coming up. Right then. Commanding, comprehensive, clinical. The Three Lions cannot be tamed at the moment. They've got off to a flier in the tournament and have set one foot in the semi-finals. They will come up against their arch-rivals Australia in the next game and look to make it three wins out of three. As for Bangladesh, it's the other end of the spectrum. Two losses from two games, they have it all to do in their final three games. While England are running away with in the group of death, the other five sides in for a major scrap.

Eoin Morgan: The bowlers have started the tournament exceptionally well, backed up by some good fielding as well. It is a huge compliment to how far our white-ball cricket has come along. A lot of players in the 2019 World Cup success and that's lent itself to T20s as well. There have been players fighting for places but they haven't been too far away at any stage. It's nice for Jason and Dawid to get some time at the wicket. The way Jason plays is so imposing, makes it difficult to set fields, so great to see him in good touch.

Mahmudullah: A very disappointing day for us. It was a very good wicket to bat on but the batting performance was disappointing. It was a good wicket but we didn't start well or build partnerships in the middle. The firepower is what we've been lacking. If we don't get starts then it's tough for us on these wickets. I have mentioned it many times that we are skill players rather than power-hitters. We will stick to that because we believe in that. We need to reassess a lot of things in the batting department and come up with a good plan.

Jason Roy, the player of the match: Every game is crucial for us and happy to put up another strong performance after the way we played against WI. Happy to get more games and become the routine in the playing XI in the last few years. Obviously we wanted to get off to a good start in these pitches it's difficult to continuously do that but today was one of those days we were able to get good start, definitely a case of keeping wickets in hand and then powering our way through the backend.

England won by 8 wickets (with 35 balls remaining).

Another commanding and convincing performance from England as they wrap this one up in a canter. They've set one foot in the semi-finals with two thoroughly dominating wins against West Indies and Bangladesh. The bowlers did all the damage up front, restricting Bangladesh to a paltry 124/9 in the twenty overs. The lack of firepower for Bangladesh and a struggling top-order meant that they couldn't post anything significant on the board. Having said that, Mahmudullah might think about his decision to bat first after winning the toss.

Chasing 125 was never going to be much of a headache for England. They did in a canter with Jason Roy making light work of that target, recording a half-century on his 50th T20I match. Malan and Bairstow finished it off in the end, while the shoulders dropped for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh were on the receiving end of a proper drubbing! They're staring down the barrel now and will have to rely on other results for a chance to go through to the semi-finals. The Three Lions go marching on. The only worry, if at all for them, will be that they haven't been tested yet. With a pre-Ashes taster coming up in their next game against Australia, they'll be hoping to tick that off the list as well. Stick around for the presentations.

Well, all it needed is one ball for Bairstow. A clinical performance for England are they bag their second win from as many games. On the contrary, Bangladesh are at the other end of the spectrum with no wins in their two Super 12 games.
