Dark View Explorers were never really in this chase, were they? The chase completely falls apart in the end, and an easy first win for Fort Charlotte Strikers in the end. The Grenadines Divers are probably the happiest with this result as they stand a chance to go one step closer to the semi-final with a match against Salt Pond Breakers, and that game starts in just 30 minutes. Stick around, as we bring you all the action from that match. That's it for now from Shashwat Kumar, and myself, Habil Ahmed. See you soon!
9.6 Kirton Lavia to Kody Horne, short and outside off and Horne can only find an under edge to the keeper to end the innings.
9.5 Kirton Lavia to Davium Barnum, OUT! Short and outside off and Barnum perishes to the Strikers' plan. He again tries to mow it over the cover region but the lack of pace on the delivery means that he can get only a toe end to it. The catch is completed comfortably at cover.
9.4 Kirton Lavia to Davium Barnum, short and wide outside off and Barnum misses his ugly hoick. Dot delivery and that should be that for the Explorers.
9.3 Kirton Lavia to Davium Barnum, short and at the batsman. Barnum mistimes his pull but a misfield allows the batsman to get back for a double.
9.2 Kirton Lavia to Kody Horne, DROPPED! Short and outside off and Horne has an enormous swing. He slices it and seems destined to walk back to the pavilion. But, the fielder at point makes a mess of it and Lavia gets across for a single.
9.1 Kirton Lavia to Davium Barnum, angled into the pads and Barnum via his thigh pad helps it to fine leg for a single.
24 to win off 6 balls now. They desperately need some big hits from here. The Dark View Explorers are in a difficult position here.
8.6 Ray Jordan to Kody Horne, FOUR! Full on off stump and Horne caresses it through the extra cover region for a four. A valiant effort from Spencer at mid off but it goes in vain.
8.5 Ray Jordan to Kody Horne, length ball at the stumps and Horne gives Jordan the charge. But, he loses his shape and swipes at thin air. They need exactly four runs of every ball from here on.
8.4 Ray Jordan to Kody Horne, yorker and just about dug out to the bowler by Horne.
That's the end of Sealron Williams for just 2 runs. 65/6 and they need 28 off 9 deliveries.
8.3 Ray Jordan to Sealron Williams, OUT! Short and wide outside off and Williams somehow decides to belt it down the ground over mid off. He tries to flat bat it but miscues it completely as the fielder comes around from mid off and completes the catch.
8.2 Ray Jordan to Kody Horne, another sharp delivery on a back of a length and Horne defends it to point for a single.
8.1 Ray Jordan to Sealron Williams, back of a length outside off and Williams dabs it to point for a single.
Okay, so that over has brought the game back to life. 19 from it. 63/5 at the end of the eighth and the Explorers need 30 off 12 balls.
7.6 Chelston Stowe to Kody Horne, SIX! In the slot and Horne gives it everything he has. He gets to the pitch of the ball and climbs into it, sending the ball soaring over long off for six.
7.5 Chelston Stowe to Sealron Williams, short delivery at the stumps and Williams is caught unaware. The ball strikes him and they get across for a single.
7.5 Chelston Stowe to Sealron Williams, length delivery outside off but it is a little too wide to be a legitimate delivery. Wide called by the umpire.
That's the end of 16-year-old O'Jay Matthews. His cameo would have brought back a little hope to the Explorers' camp. Sealron Williams is the new man in.
