Germany beat Portugal by 46 runs.

Germany had one foot across the door to the final after scoring 169 in the first innings. They got the other in after dismissing three wickets for Portugal in the powerplay of the second innings itself.

Gholiya's wicket on the very first ball set the tone for the match. He played a really bad shot and most of his batters seemed to follow him with that, playing poor shots and throwing their wickets away.

This was for everyone except Miguel, who picked his bowlers and played sensible shots, even as wickets fell thick and fast from the other end.

As the innings progressed, it looked even worse because almost every lower order batter came and hit their first balls for boundaries and then went on to play good cameos.

Portugal have a lot of lessons to take from this. Germany just need a repeat of such brutality again in the final.

8.3 Shahid Afridi to Junaid Khan, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! It's all over. Now Afridi is in the wicket's column too, what a day he's having. Germany storm into the finals with that win and have thumped Portugal and remain unbeaten as well. Back of a length on the stumps, Junaid swings and misses, rattles the stumps.
