Gorkha 11 105/4 (10 ov)
Coimbra Knights 45/5 (10 ov)
Gorkha 11 won by 60 runs.
Player of the match: Suman Ghimire
Gorka XI win by 60 runs

Tame, the only word that comes into mind seeing this shambolic batting performance from the Coimbra Knights. Just like the first match where the team only managed to scrape their way through 50 in the 10 overs, the Knights took their performance several notches below and managed to finish with only 45 on board whilst chasing 106.

Imran Khan Jr. the opener with the bat started off with the bowling duties as well and made sure that Knights were not off the mark. Stoneman and Winter tried to dig in and take the game deep, but the boundaries were hard to come by and runs came at a premium.

The sorry state of the batting can be gauged by the fact that only a boundary and a maximum came in the second half of the match as every single Knights batsman struggled to get going. Andrew Winter and Tony Madeira top-scored with 13 and 10, whilst others could not even cross the single-digit figure.

Absar Alam and Mohammad Siraj Nipo were the others to get their names in the wickets column while Rahul Bhardwaj, Sripal Matta and Madhukar Thapa chipped in with miser performances. With their second win of the evening, Gorka XI go top of the table on the first day of the Portugal leg and Knights will have a lot of catching up to do.

The team will need to get back to the drawing board and look for dynamic batsmen, top of the order, who can provide some brisk starts, or otherwise, the tournament might look incredibly long and hard for them.

So that was that from us. This is Abhinav Singh and my partner, Dwijesh Reddy signing off, until next time, it is a goodbye from our side. GOOD NIGHT! STAY GOLD!
Over: 10 | Summary: 1W 0 W 0 0 0 Bowler: Madhukar Thapa Score: 45/5

9.4 Madhukar Thapa to Qasir Hameed, a full ball bowled outside off, Hameed pushes it to the short cover fielder for no runs
Tony Maderia gets himself run out in the most comical way possible. P Mukesh walks it to bat in the middle but he will be at the non-striker's end
9.3 Madhukar Thapa to Qasir Hameed, RUN-OUT! A full ball bowled on the stumps, Hameed digs it out back towards the non-striker, who ends up parrying the ball in the path of the bowler, who effects a run-out!
9.2 Madhukar Thapa to Qasir Hameed, a full ball bowled outside off, Hameed looks to heave it away but misses
Winter departs whilst attempting to come back for the suicidal second. Qasir Hameed walks out to wield the willow for the final 5 deliveries
9.1 Madhukar Thapa to Andrew Winter, RUN-OUT! A length ball bowled outside off, Winter cuts it to the off-side and tries to take the fielder on but ends up losing his wicket!
Madhukar Thapa [1-0-6-0] to bowl the final over

Md. Siraj who went for 12 in his first over, comes back sharply, gives away only 3 runs and rubs into the misery of Knights. It has been such a tame batting performance that words fail to justify it. An impossible 62 runs required in the final 6 deliveries. Will Knights breach the 50 run mark though? That's the mini-battle in the middle!
Over: 9 | Summary: 0 0 0 1 1 1 Bowler: Mohammad Siraj Nipo Score: 44/3

Rahul Bhardwaj bowling an extremely miser over to further pile on the misery of Knights. They have completely wilted under pressure with the bat. The boundaries have barely come and the singles have been hard to come by as well at a premium. 65 runs required in 12 balls
