Guyana Amazon Warriors 118/10 (19.1 ov)
Jamaica Tallawahs 104/7 (20 ov)
Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 14 runs
Player of the match: Naveen-ul-Haq
A good victory for the Guyana Amazon Warriors as they win the match by 14 runs. They were put in  to bat first and registered 118 in 19.1 overs. In came their bowlers and they wreaked havoc, starting by picking up a wicket of the very first ball, Chris Green and Ashmead nedd spun a web in the powerplay restricting them to only 16 runs for 3 wickets in their powerplay overs. Every bowler picked a wicket in the Warriors bowling lineup and dented the scoring of the Tallawahs putting them at 59/7 in 16 overs. Only Rovman Powell and Andre Russell could play the good innings. A calm 19th over from Naveen Ul Haq and a good 20th over from Keemo Paul save the Warriors from the wrath of Dre Russ as he scored a 50 but in vain as the Warriors won by 14 RUNS.

Naveen Ul Haq is awarded the man of the match for 1/22 in his 4 overs and 14 runs 17 ball batting first

That's all we have from the live coverage of match no. 8 from the CPL as I, Lavil Saldanha and colleague, Prashanth Satish sign off. Do stay tuned to Sportskeeda for all live cricketing action and articles. Until next time, it is goodbye from our side. SEE YA!
19.6 Keemo Paul to Andre Russell, SIX! He finishes off in fine fashion but sadly for him it was not enough. Full delivery from Paul and Russell smokes this one over the long-on boundary for a huge maximum to end this game. GAW win by 14 runs and defend the lowest every score in the CPL!!
19.5 Keemo Paul to Andre Russell, shorter delivery pulled straight to long-on, no run taken again. Last rites being done now!
19.4 Keemo Paul to Andre Russell, YORKER! Wide yorker and Russell can't make contact on that one. Excellent from Paul!
19.3 Keemo Paul to Andre Russell, a full toss from Paul and Russell hits it to mid-wicket and no run there. 21 to get off 3 balls now!
19.2 Keemo Paul to Andre Russell, full delivery is driven to long-on and Russel doesn't rotate the strike.
19.1 Keemo Paul to Fidel Edwards, short of a length delivery defended into the off side for a quick single. Russell is back on strike with 21 to get off 5
JT are on 97/7 after 19 overs. JT need 22 runs in 6 balls for victory. Can they get across the line or will Warriors sleep well tonight?
18.6 Naveen-ul-Haq to Andre Russell, EXCELLENT! Full and wide from Naveen and Russell can't get bat on that one. Edwards will be on strike for the last over. Hmmmmmmm.....
18.5 Naveen-ul-Haq to Andre Russell, full delivery hit to mid-wicket by Russell and the single is refused by him.
18.4 Naveen-ul-Haq to Andre Russell, a slower bouncer from Naveen well outside off stump and Russell doesn't get contact on the cut shot this time.
18.3 Naveen-ul-Haq to Andre Russell, fuller delivery drilled to long-off but the single is refused by Russell.
18.2 Naveen-ul-Haq to Andre Russell, FOUR! Full and outside off-stump and Russell gets a thick outside edge on that one to the third man boundary. Luck going Russell's way here, can he finish it for the Tallawahs
18.1 Naveen-ul-Haq to Andre Russell, SIX! Short from Naveen and Russell pulls that one over the mid-wicket boundary this time for a maximum. Jee! Some shot that from DRE RUSS! Pressure on the bowler here as he gets smoked off the very first ball of his last over
17 runs, huge over for JT as they are on 87/7 after 18 overs. They need 32 runs in 12 balls
17.6 Imran Tahir to Andre Russell, full toss and Russell hits it with full force to mid-wicket for a single.
17.5 Imran Tahir to Andre Russell, tossed up delivery driven to long-on but for no run there.
17.4 Imran Tahir to Andre Russell, FOUR! Shorter this time and Russell cuts this one past the fielder at point for another boundary. Are we witnessing a Russell special here? Some quality hitting there from Russel as he looks to take JT closer to the target
17.3 Imran Tahir to Andre Russell, fired in on a length and Russell defends that one off the back foot,
17.2 Imran Tahir to Andre Russell, SIX! Tossed up again and this time he sends the slog sweep way over the boundary at mid-wicket. Back to back sixes for Russell! Don't write of JT yet, they have their man at the crease there
