St Lucia Zouks beat Guyana Amazon Warriors by 10 runs and climb to the top of the table !

That brings us to the end of a thriller  contest between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Lucia Zouks. Coming into the chase, Warriors were pushed onto the back foot early on as Scott Kuggelejin struck twice in the very second over of the game picking up the important wickets of  King and Hetmeyer. Soon Mohhamad Nabi struck picking up the wicket of Ross Taylor putting Warriors in a spot of bother. They were 9/3 after 5 overs and chances to comeback looked bleak looking at the way Zouks bowled. Later Nicholas Pooran struck a few might blows and Hemraj rotated the strike taking their team to a score of 59 after the first half of the chase. Soon after the drinks break, Hemraj threw his wicket away . But there was no one stopping Nicholas Pooran, he calculated the innings very well and struck boundaries of loose deliveries and scored 68 runs off just 49 deliveries before getting out in the 19th over of the game. He was supported by Keemo Paul and Sherfane Rutherford who scored 20 and 15 runs respectively. In the end 13 runs were needed off the last over and Chemar Holder delivered a dream over picking up 2 wickets and giving away just 2 runs of the final over helping St Lucia Zouks win by 10 runs and taking them to the top of the table.

Roston Chase is the Man of the Match for his knock of 66 runs off 51 deliveries which comprised of 5 fours and 2 sixes.

That is it from us here at Sportskeeda, Ladies and Gentlemen. We hope you enjoyed our coverage of this nail-biting contest. Do join us for the game later today. Till then, this is Manoj Sarma and my partner Maanas Upadhyay signing off. Stay Safe !! Adios !
19.6 Chemar Holder to Odean Smith, no run, length ball on the leg stump and Smith ducks under it. What a nail-biting contest this has been! Went right down the wire and in the end it is the St. Lucia Zouks who emerge on top. They beat the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 10 runs in the end.
19.5 Chemar Holder to Imran Tahir, slower full ball on the stumps slapped to mid off for a single.
19.4 Chemar Holder to Chris Green, OUT! Length ball outside off and Green goes for the big heave across the line. The ball straightens a but and Green nicks it to the keeper!  Is that curtains for Guyana Amazon Warriors?
19.3 Chemar Holder to Odean Smith, length ball outside off and Smith slashes hard at it. Ends up slicing it down to third man for a single. 12  runs to win off 3 balls. 3 boundaries will do it for Warriors. The chase is still on.
19.2 Chemar Holder to Odean Smith, no run, full ball the is just on the wide line. The umpire seems to be in a generous mood and lets that pass. DOT BALL !
19.1 Chemar Holder to Sherfane Rutherford, OUT! BOWLED! Yorker on the off stump and Rutherford fails to get his bat down in time. The stump is uprooted and what a delivery by Holder under pressure! RATTLED ! And most importantly a dot ball which takes the equation to 13 runs off 5 balls.
End of the penultimate over of the game and Warriors are 132/6. Need 13 runs off 6 balls.
18.6 Kesrick Williams to Sherfane Rutherford, MISSED OPPORTUNITY! length ball on the body and the batsman edges it onto the pitch. They take off for the single but Williams just cannot collect the ball cleanly! That should have been run-out!
18.5 Kesrick Williams to Sherfane Rutherford, full ball on the pads flicked towards deep mid-wicket for a comfortable couple of runs.
18.4 Kesrick Williams to Sherfane Rutherford, no run, much better length, slower full ball outside off and Rutherford fails to connect with the cut.
18.3 Kesrick Williams to Sherfane Rutherford, FOUR! length ball on the pads and Rutherford simply guides it through the fine leg region for a boundary! OH DEAR ! That has been gifted, length ball drifting on to the pads and Rutherford helps that away.
18.2 Kesrick Williams to Chris Green, length ball outside off and the batsman gets the outside edge that trickles down to third man for a single
18.1 Kesrick Williams to Nicholas Pooran, OUT! BOWLED! Length ball on the off stump and Pooran looks to guide it down to third man but manages to chop it back onto the stumps. This may very well be the match right there! Boy Oh Boy ! Nail-biting scenes here at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
That is the end of the eighteenth over and Warriors are 124/5. Need 21 runs off 12 balls at 10.5 RPO. Can Pooran finish it off for his team?
17.6 Scott Kuggeleijn to Sherfane Rutherford, full ball on the pads chipped to deep mid-wicket for a couple of runs.
17.5 Scott Kuggeleijn to Sherfane Rutherford, slower off cutter outside off and Rutherford fails to get abt on ball! The pressure is building for both the sides here!
17.4 Scott Kuggeleijn to Sherfane Rutherford, SIX! short ball outside off and Rutherford connects and connects well! Whacks that over the mid-wicket region for a huge maximum! MONSTER ! What a hit that from Rutherford.
17.3 Scott Kuggeleijn to Sherfane Rutherford, no run, slower length ball outside off and Rutherford fails to connect with the pull.
17.2 Scott Kuggeleijn to Keemo Paul, OUT! Full ball on the off stump and Paul goes for the big slog across the line. Cannot get enough bat on it and Nabi at deep mid-wicket pouches it easily!  Is there a twist in the tale? Whose way is this game gonna go?
