Post-Match Comments: -

David Wiese: - We always had a shout. The wickets are always good here in Pakistan. It is sliding on nicely. Once you get the momentum, it is always tough for the bowling side. It is always awesome to come back to Pakistan.

Imad Wasim, captain of Karachi Kings: - I think the left-handed batsmen were there so thought Nabi should have bowled. They played really well. We should have capitalised on the start we got. We should give credit to the opposition. They bowled really well. Good for Pakistan that Shaheen and Rauf are bowling well. Hopefully, they continue like that.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Player of the Match: - I gave my 100 per cent and I am happy to have contributed to the win. I have been practising in the nets bowling yorkers with the new ball and the result is there to see.

Sohail Akhtar, captain of Lahore Qalandars: - The pressure was there, Dunk and Zaman played beautifully. The two have been very good for us (Ahmed Daniyal and Shaheen Afridi). It's a very good sign for us as well as for Pakistan. We are confident and would want to continue the same in the upcoming matches.
WHAT AN OUTSTANDING GAME this has been and the Lahore Qalandars have constructed a brilliant heist to pick up a 6 wicket win. The chase for the Qalandars started on an atrocious note, as they lost captain Sohail Akhtar, Joe Denly in the very first over from Mohammad Amir, which was a double-wicket maiden & then "The Professor" Mohammad Hafeez too didn't stay long at the crease and the Qalandars were 33/3 in the 5th over, but a superb 119-run partnership for the 4th wicket between opener Fakhar ZamanBen Dunk set them up for the final flourish. Zaman top-scored with an outstanding 83 from just 54 balls with Ben Dunk staying unbeaten at 57* from 43 balls, and then right at the end, the South African all-rounder David Wiese came out and smashed a stunning 31* off just 9 deliveries, which blew the daylights off the Karachi Kings bowling attack and the raucous crowd which were backing their home team.

For the Karachi Kings, the pick of the bowlers was Mohammad Amir, who except for that last over, bowled like a man possessed and ended up with bowling figures of 1/34 in his 4 overs, with Waqas Maqsood Daniel Christian also picking up a wicket each, but both ended up being a little expensive, with Maqsood having 1/34 in his 3 overs, while Christian had 1/39 in 3.2 overs, but apart from them, there was precious little else from the other bowlers, with Mohammad Nabi being the best of the rest, with 0/31 in 4 overs.

This has been such a brilliant and exciting game between two sides and cities with an epic cricketing rivalry.
19.2 Daniel Christian to David Wiese, SIX! Slower ball dug into the pitch, he pulls it away and the ball lands right on the fence! What a turnaround it has been! And what a cameo by David Wiese!
19.1 Daniel Christian to David Wiese, SIX! Straight back over the bowler's head! He goes for the yorker but misses it by quite a bit, right in the slot for the batsman and he finds the middle of the bat
Outstanding over for the Lahore Qalandars, as they ride on a mixture of Lady Luck & skill to get 20 runs from it and after 19 overs, they are 177/4 and need another 10 runs from the last over, which would be bowled by Daniel Christian, who will have to summon all his vast experience of T20 cricket to defend these 10 runs.
Over: 19 | Summary: 4 1 4 4 6 1 Bowler: Mohammad Amir Score: 177/4
18.6 Mohammad Amir to David Wiese, full outside the off-stump, mistimes the drive to extra cover
18.5 Mohammad Amir to David Wiese, SIX! Errs on length trying to go for the yorker, Wiese gets underneath the ball and swings it downtown, despatching it over long-off
18.4 Mohammad Amir to David Wiese, FOUR! It's not going Amir's way! Full ball marginally outside the off-stump, gets a thick inside edge which flies past the keeper to his left
18.3 Mohammad Amir to David Wiese, FOUR! Sharp bouncer, well directed at the batsman, he gets the glove as he tries to pull the ball and it goes over the keeper's head
18.2 Mohammad Amir to Ben Dunk, full ball on off and middle, drives it down to long-on and takes a single
18.1 Mohammad Amir to Ben Dunk, FOUR! Full and wide of off-stump, he tries desperately to reach it and gets a thick outside edge which flies away fine
Outstanding over from Daniel Christian, who concedes just 6 runs from it and gets the big wicket of Fakhar Zaman, as Lahore Qalandars are 157/4 after 18 overs & they need another 30 runs in 12 balls. Mohammad Amir will bowl the critical 19th over.
Over: 18 | Summary: 1 W 1 0 4 0 Bowler: Daniel Christian Score: 157/4
17.6 Daniel Christian to David Wiese, low full toss wide of off-stump, he swings down the wrong line and fails to get bat on ball
17.5 Daniel Christian to David Wiese, FOUR! Misses the length and bowls it wide, Wiese throws his bat at that one and gets a thick outside edge which flies away to the thirdman boundary
17.4 Daniel Christian to David Wiese, hits the blockhole, Wiese fails to dig this one out. Dot ball!
17.3 Daniel Christian to Ben Dunk, full and wide of off-stump, mistimes the drive to extra cover for a single
Huge wicket, huge huge wicket for the Karachi Kings as Daniel Christian uses all that experience and foxes Fakhar Zaman with a slower delivery, which got a lot of height, but not much distance on that loft & Babar Azam at long-off didn't make any mistakes whatsoever. This fabulous partnership has ended with Lahore Qalandars now 152/4 in 17.2 overs and they've got the right-handed batsman David Wiese coming into the crease now.
