Scorecard
Karachi Kings win the edge-of-the-seat thriller by 7 runs and keep their playoff hopes alive. Chasing a competitive total on this wicket, Lahore Qalandars got off to a flying start, scoring 35 runs in three overs. But Karachi Kings fought back superbly and took control in the middle overs. The pitch favored the spinners all of a sudden with a sharp turn and bounce. Using that to his advantage, Noor Ahmad wreaked havoc for the batsmen with his mystery spin, while Imad Wasim equally complimented the young spinner from the other end.

Wasim got his revenge by dismissing Fakhar Zaman, while Mohammed Hafeez looked good at the start but when the spinners came in, he was struggling to even rotate the strike. Noor Ahmad got rid of him in the last ball of his magical spell.

It looked all done and dusted for Lahore Qalandars when Hafeez got out, but Tim David and James Faulkner brought them back into the contest with some effortless hitting in the middle. David was swinging at everything and that 18-run over from Ilyaz injected all the belief for the Qalanders. Abbas was smashed for three sixes but dismissed David in the last ball of the 18th over. With 27 needed from the final two, James Faulkner dispatched Amir for a huge six over midwicket but the latter responded well and conceded just a solitary run in the last three balls.

Mohammed Ilyas took the responsibility to bowl the last over and removed James Faulkner in the third ball. Despite Rashid Khan's six and a boundary in the fourth and fifth ball, the Qalanders fell short of the target by seven runs. That's it we have from here, hope you enjoyed the coverage, until then, this is Pragadeesh signing off on behalf of my fellow colleague, Pradeep. Goodnight

19.6 Mohammad Ilyas to Rashid Khan, SWING AND A MISS AND Kings held their nerve in the last over and they pick up crucial two points! Back of a length delivery on the outside off as Rashid moves inside the line of it and has a big swipe at the one but misses and Qalandars would be dejected having got so close but yet so far.
19.5 Mohammad Ilyas to Rashid Khan, FOUR MORE! Low full toss on the stumps and Rashid hoicks that one away to the deep mid-wicket region and then runs away to the fence for a boundary
12 needed from 2 balls
19.4 Mohammad Ilyas to Rashid Khan, SIX! BOOM! This game is still alive for Qalandars, that was full on the outside off as Rashid swings and then carves it away and it sails over the third-man fence for a maximum!
Mohammad Ilyas, take a bow. It was a pressure moment but he kept his calm and dismissed the dangerous Faulkner.
19.3 Mohammad Ilyas to James Faulkner, OUT! CAUGHT! Full toss and Faulkner misses out on that one, skies that one right up in the air and the long-on fielder runs in and holds the nerve to take the catch, MASSIVE WICKET as Faulkner makes his way back to the dug-out!
Look at the faces from both the dressing room. It says the whole story of how intense this match has panned out so far.
19.2 Mohammad Ilyas to Rashid Khan, full toss on the off-stump, hurried on to Rashid as he swats it straight down the ground and they settle for a single but Faulkner looking to get back for the second not sure why
19.1 Mohammad Ilyas to James Faulkner, low full toss on the outside off as Faulkner whacks it down to long-off for just a single, he wanted to get much more than that and he's disappointed
20 needed from the final six. Looks like Ilyas will bowl the last over

It's a tremendous last three balls from Mohammed Amir. Tensions all around as this match is right in the balance now.
