That is it from us at Sportskeeda for today's match. Do join us tomorrow for the all-important clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings at Pune.
Suryakumar Yadav, the Man of the Match: Enjoying my new role of opening. Trying to be consistent, trying to give good starts so that the finishers aren't burdened. I'm not thinking too much, trying to be simple.
Winning captain Rohit Sharma: We're still alive, good performance tonight. We wanted everyone to come together and put a collective effort. We understand the threat Kings XI bring with their bat, to restrict them was a great effort. The way we went about our chase, we needed some momentum, Hardik could get that by playing his game, which is why I held myself back. I know what shot-making is required at the end.
KXIP captain R Ashwin: The wicket was sticky, we went well. Not got enough runs at the end. Fought well. The week off rejuvenated the boys. This tournament is not easy. Trying to play the brand of cricket we want to play.
So, the Mumbai Indians achieve their third win of the season thanks to a sensational knock by Krunal Pandya. He ended with 31 runs from just 12 balls to guide his side home when things were looking difficult,

The two openers looked watchful in the beginning with Suryakumar Yadav doing most of the attacking. Evin Lewis failed to get going as he was dismissed after scoring just 10 runs. SKY went on to score his third half-century of the tournament. Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya performed well too as they scored 25 and 23 respectively. Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya came in and finished the game off in style.

Mujeeb ur Rahman picked up two wickets while Andrew Tye and Marcus stoinis picked up one each.

With this win, MI move to fifth on the table, above the Royal Challengers Bangalore
18.6 Tye to Krunal, 4 leg byes, yorker on the toes on off-stump. That misses the 'keeper as well and the ball races to the third man fence for four. Mumbai win by 6 wickets to stay alive in the IPL.

18.4 Tye to Krunal, 1 run, short and slow. Straight to deep square leg.
