Delhi Capitals won by 7 wickets
Player of the match:
So that's a wrap on things from our end. Hope you enjoyed our coverage of this high-scoring affair. Do join us back for tomorrow's double-header. Until then, it's goodbye.
Getting the team home was more important than my personal milestone and hence I took a single rather than going for a big shot. It is a beautiful wicket that supports batsmen and bowlers. It is good to have such wickets for T20 cricket. At the same time, we need to adopt to the conditions back home in Delhi. We knew that we had to take the game deep and with Pant at the crease, things were bound to get easier as we progressed.
It is an amazing feeling. It feels special to win four out of our first seven games. Getting Keemo Paul into the team was a good move as it stabilised the balance. We love to bat on such tracks. They way Shikhar Dhawan batted, he showed all his class and experience. He is an amazing personality and it is good to have him around in the team.
We didn't bat as well as we could have and were definitely 10-15 runs short on that wicket. It would have been better if the bowlers put up a fight but these things happen in cricket. Lynn and Narine have been two key players for us and missing them is not good. Having said that, Shubman played really well. Picking wickets on this ground has been difficult but our bowlers need to come back harder.
What a knock it has been from Shikhar Dhawan. Batted right through the innings and made sure the Capitals got home with a comfortable margin. KKR, on the other hand, have plenty to ponder about their bowling attack. The hosts lacked spite on the field and were absolutely battered by the opposition's batsmen tonight.
But the Indian superstar wouldn't be complaining though. He is certainly a delighted man to see his team through to victory.
Colin Ingram strikes it big! Tonks it over the long on fielder for a six to seal the game and leave Dhawan stranded on 97 at the other end.
18.5 SIX! Piyush Chawla to Colin Ingram. Leg spinner half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs.
18.4 Piyush Chawla to Shikhar Dhawan. Googly back of a length, down leg side on the back foot working, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Denly.
18.3 Piyush Chawla to Colin Ingram. Googly length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, to deep point for 1 run, fielded by Ferguson.
18.2 FOUR! Piyush Chawla to Colin Ingram. Googly half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge past third man for 4 runs. Given some air, Ingram goes chasing after it, and edges through a vacant slip region. Handy runs for Delhi.
18.1 Piyush Chawla to Shikhar Dhawan. Googly length ball, middle stump on the back foot Late Cut, to short third man for 1 run, fielded by Yadav.
Brilliant running between the wickets from the Delhi batters. Scrape through for two valuable runs.

17.6 Nitish Rana to Colin Ingram. Arm ball half volley, outside off stump down the track driving, well timed to long off for 2 runs, fielded by Chawla, shy attempt by Rana.
17.5 Nitish Rana to Shikhar Dhawan. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot dropped, to short extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Rana.
17.4 Nitish Rana to Colin Ingram. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot Late Cut, to backward point for 1 run, fielded by Uthappa.
17.3 Nitish Rana to Colin Ingram. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, to silly mid off for no runs, fielded by Rana.
17.2 Nitish Rana to Shikhar Dhawan. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep point for 1 run, fielded by Gill.
Pant gifts his wicket away,! Plays a reckless shot and holes out to Kuldeep Yadav at long on, four runs short of his half-century. Fails to finish the game yet again.
17.1 OUT! Caught. Nitish Rana to Rishabh Pant. Off break half volley, outside off stump down the track driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Yadav.

16.6 Andre Russell to Shikhar Dhawan. Off cutter length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, to deep backward point for 2 runs, fielded by Ferguson.
16.5 Andre Russell to Shikhar Dhawan. Short, down leg side on the back foot cutting, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Karthik.
Top shot from Pant. Picks the slower one from Russell and slogs it for a maximum. This could well be the fatal blow for KKR.
16.4 Andre Russell to Rishabh Pant. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by Denly.
16.3 SIX! Andre Russell to Rishabh Pant. Off cutter half volley, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Slower ball spotted, Pant down on one knee, and he carts it over wide long on for a maximum.
16.2 FOUR! Andre Russell to Rishabh Pant. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Delhi are cuising home here. Pant thunders a drive through the covers, and it cannot be cut off.
16.1 Andre Russell to Shikhar Dhawan. Off cutter length ball, to leg on the back foot driving, to long off for 1 run, fielded by Krishna.
Dhawan picks his eleventh four of the innings. Comes down the track swiftly and smashes Yadav straight down the ground. He might well be thinking of a hundred here.
