This is how the IPL table looks like. Mumbai and Kolkata have exchanged places after today's one-sided affair at the Eden Gardens. Both sides have three matches remaining, and despite starting their campaign poorly, defending champions Mumbai are back on track. Kolkata, on the other hand, have a lot of thinking to, especially regarding their batting. That wraps up today's proceedings by us at Sportskeeda. Catch us again tomorrow as the Delhi Daredevils host the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The marauder Ishan Kishan is the Man of the Match for his 21-ball 62: "I had a chat with my skipper. He just asked me to back myself and play the way I have when I've scored runs. I just wanted to look at the ball and keep smacking it. You have to believe in yourself, back your strengths. I'm okay batting anywhere."
The winning captain Rohit Sharma starts with explaining Mumbai's love for the month of May: "As a team we tend to pick up in the month of May. I can only wish and hope we come together as a team at the start. It's never easy to come out right all the time, we'd like to start on a high. I'm glad we came together as a team and performed well. Without doubt Ishan Kishan's knock, his fearless knock was the turning point. Hitting wasn't easy, the ball was sticking in. He just came in and changed momentum. Credit to him, he was waiting for this knock, wanted to come out. Also for Ben Cutting to come out and finish on a high, he hasn't got a lot of opportunities, but he backed himself to do that."
Dinesh Karthik, after suffering another loss against Mumbai: "200-plus is always a big ask. We didn't bat well enough and who knows what would have happened if we had taken those catches. It was a good batting wicket, we lost wickets in the Powerplay and it's always tough to catch up. We took it like normal game even if they have a good record against us. We need to raise our skill levels and belief a bit, as a leader I need to stand up and say I believe in the boys."
The hosts have been humbled. When 102 runs separate two sides in a T20 match, it is a clear indication of supreme dominance of one side over the other. Clearly, KKR never got going and were bowled out for 108 from being 49/2 at one stage. Their net run rate has taken a hammering - they are fifth courtesy of the huge defeat today - as Mumbai take the fourth place from them on collecting their third win in a row. Perhaps it was as early as during the middle overs of the Mumbai innings that the fate of the match was sealed when Kishan was butchering their spinners. A lot of thinking and planning to be done for KKR, as Mumbai, with three matches left, have bolstered their play-off chances after a slow start to the season.
WAIT, WHAT? Finally the game has ended? Thought it got over an hour back when Andre Russell was caught at covers off the bowling of Hardik Pandya.

Nonetheless, a comfortable 102-run victory for Mumbai Indians and the visitors have taken their head-to-head against KKR to 18-5. Also, KKR have never beaten MI in their last eight matches. MI also swapped places with KKR in the points table and are fourth with 10 points. How many would have expected this after the first four matches?
18.1 Krunal to Kuldeep, OUT! Review? Come on, Kuldeep. Why are you testing our patience? He goes for the reverse sweep, it has not hit the bat, one box ticked. Pitched on line, hit in line and collects the stumps too! ENDS the agony for KKR
