A convincing win in the end for the Eagles as anticipated, indeed making light-work of the chase with their openers getting them off to a cracking start and there was hardly anything left to do for the men who came along. 24 for Shervin Charles and 17 for Mervin Wells at the top putting up a 45-run stand chasing a modest score of 68 and that set the platform for them to cruise to an eight-wicket win with half the overs to spare! Completely dominating game and one-sided for the Eagles as Murlan Sammy wrapped things up in style with his cameo towards the end.

Not much the Mabouya bowlers could have really done with a total like that to defend and although they did manage to pick a couple of wickets, they were never in the game at any point of time whatsoever. A few tough but dropped chances, that need to be taken when you have a score like this and they also lacked the attacking intent in the field. They started slowly with the bat earlier and failed to really get going and try to give themselves something to play with. A disappointing show overall and things to ponder on for them.

A clinical all-round show for the Eagles on the other hand as they continue their fine run in this tournament. First with the ball to restrict Mabouya and then coming out and chasing it with ease, bossing the game right from the start to the end and they will be a team riding high on confidence as they continue to go from strength to strength with their performances.

That's it from the first game of the day but do not go anywhere as there is more action coming up from the second game in short time from now. Stay tuned!
And that is game over! Brilliant finish for the Eagles, finished off in style and a comfortable victory for them, with four overs and eight wickets to spare. Absolutely dominating show this and they continue their good run in this tournament!

5.6 Lennice Modeste to Murlan Sammy, SIX! Finishes it off in style. Charges down the track, gets to the pitch of the ball and smashes it straight back over the bowler's head into the sight-screen
5.5 Lennice Modeste to Murlan Sammy, fuller ball on middle and leg, muscles it across the deep mid-wicket. Bit of a fumble in the deep allows him to collect a brace
5.4 Lennice Modeste to Murlan Sammy, SIX! Sammy says enough is enough. In the slot outside the off-stump, clears the front leg and goes over long-on. Lot of height on this one and just manages to clear the fence in the end
5.4 Lennice Modeste to Murlan Sammy, shortish delivery, nips back into the right-hander and goes down the leg-side
5.3 Lennice Modeste to Shervin Charles, short of a length on the middle-stump, gets cramped for room and mistimes the pull to deep mid-wicket
5.2 Lennice Modeste to Shervin Charles, length ball marginally outside the off-stump, swings hard across the line but makes no connection
5.1 Lennice Modeste to Murlan Sammy, full ball on off and middle, pushes at the delivery and the ball runs away to deep mid-wicket off a thickish inside edge
Couple of quick wickets now but not enough runs on the board to really play with for Mabouya at the moment. Will not mind the Eagles as they will look to wrap things up quickly from here. Past the fifty as well at half-way mark and they are certainly cruising in this chase!

4.6 Christian Ange to Murlan Sammy, short of a length outside the off-stump, defends it with soft hands outside the off-stump and scampers through to get off the mark
4.5 Christian Ange to Murlan Sammy, good length ball on middle and leg, gets right behind the line and defends it back to the bowler
4.4 Christian Ange to Garvin Serieux, OUT! Caught behind! Full ball outside the off-stump, doesn't move the feet at all. Just goes at it with the hands and gets the outside edge through to the keeper
4.3 Christian Ange to Shervin Charles, full outside the off-stump, eases it down the ground to long-off for a single
4.2 Christian Ange to Shervin Charles, full ball outside the off-stump, tries to squeeze it out but makes no connection
4.1 Christian Ange to Shervin Charles, FOUR! Superlative cricket shot! This is not really short, he makes excellent use of the width available and plays it late to place it behind point. Beats the fielder at thirdman as well
Finally a wicket for Mabouya but it just seems to have come too late with the openers having set the tone for this chase. Some attacking intent from Mabouya now but this had to come in right from the start!
