Thanks for joining us. Bye!
Hobart Hurricanes 173/6 after 20 overs. Melbourne Stars win by 10 runs.

This match was about the story of two 90s from the two openers. Earlier in the day, Marcus Stoinis hit an unbeaten 97 from 55 balls hitting seven fours and seven sixes to guide the Stars to 183/6 in 20 overs. The Hurricanes started slowly but like Stars, the Hurricanes too had their opener, Ben McDermott, in good form. He tried hard as the wickets kept falling from one end. He played a superb knock of 91 from 58 balls smashing eight fours and five sixes. Unfortunately, the Hurricanes were too slow in the chase from the word go. The pressure kept mounting and McDermott got out at the crucial juncture in the match.

Nathan Ellis was the top-performing bowler for Hobart Hurricanes as he bowled a good spell of 3/31. He was ably supported by Riley Meredith as he got two wickets for 25 runs. Melbourne Stars bowling was more all-round as Sam Rainbird picked two wickets. Rainbird got good support from Billy Stanlake, Adam Zampa and Liam Hatcher. The three bowlers picked a wicket each.

In the end, Hobart Hurricanes left too much to achieve for the last few overs and fell short by 10 runs.

19.4 Billy Stanlake to Peter Handscomb, RUN OUT! He comes charging back for a second leg-bye to retain the strike but is run-out by a good 3 yards!
14 from 3 balls.
19.3 Billy Stanlake to Peter Handscomb, full outside off, Handscomb finds the fielder as he looks to carve it away past point
19.2 Billy Stanlake to Peter Handscomb, SIX! YES! Exactly what the Hurricanes needed! It was a slower ball full-toss that had 'hit me' written all over it! Handscomb shuffled across and helped it on its way over the square-leg fence!
The crowds are going crazy at Bellerive Oval!
19.1 Billy Stanlake to Nathan Ellis, slower ball outside off, Ellis pushes it gently towards deep cover and gets off strike. Over to the skipper now! 20 needed from 5
What a stunning catch to end a great inning! A wicket and 10 runs from the over. Hurricanes need 21 runs from the last over. Is there a last twist in the tale?
Over: 19 | Summary: 0 1 6 2 1 W Bowler: Liam Hatcher Score: 163/5
18.6 Liam Hatcher to Ben McDermott, OUT! CAUGHT! Another screamer from Andre Fletcher at deep cover! It was a low full toss outside off and McDermott got a good piece of that. It went flat and fast towards the fence but found Fletcher's hands in between! Could well be the match-winning catch
18.5 Liam Hatcher to Peter Handscomb, low full toss on the pads and Handscomb misses out! He absolutely crunched it but it goes straight to backward square leg!
18.4 Liam Hatcher to Peter Handscomb, full on the pads, Handscomb pushes it to the leg side and the hurry back for a couple. Excellent running!
18.3 Liam Hatcher to Peter Handscomb, SHOT! SIX! What a shot from Handscomb! It was full and in the slot on the stumps and Handscomb backed away and played a beautiful inside out cover drive that goes all the way!
18.2 Liam Hatcher to Ben McDermott, full outside off again, carved past backward point for a single down to third man
18.1 Liam Hatcher to Ben McDermott, full and wide outside off, McDermott had moved across and the umpire doesn't signal that a wide as McDermott fails to get bat on ball
