Peshawar Zalmi 166/7 (20 ov)
Multan Sultans 167/2 (16.3 ov)
Multan Sultans won by 8 wickets
Player of the match: Shahnawaz Dhani
Multan Sultans wrapping it up in style then as they eventually made light work of the chase, getting home with 2 and a half overs and 6 wickets at their disposal. Completely dominant batting performance right from the start till the end as they looked in complete control. Not quite the night for Peshawar Zalmi with the ball, or with the bat so to say as they were clearly short of runs.

A century stand between Rizwan and Maqsood that gave no chance whatsoever to the Zalmi bowlers. A quick-fire 61 off just 31 deliveries from Sohaib Maqsood that really set the chase up for them. Led by skipper Rizwan as well, unbeaten on 82, continuing his brilliant run with the bat as they got past the line with ease in the end.

A complete all-round performance from Multan Sultans first with the ball to restrict Zalmi to under 170, courtesy that brilliant spell from Shahnawaz Dahani, also earning him the Player of the Match and then the batsmen coming out and getting the job done with ease.

Two wins in as many games for Multan Sultans then, gaining some much-needed momentum as they are in a position from where they cannot afford to lose a single game if they have to remain in contention for the play-offs. They will remain at the sixth place for the moment but are picking up on the points with six off them now. Peshawar Zalmi will also remain where they were before this game, third on the table and they will look to put this game behind and get back to winning ways.

That's all we have for the moment then. The PSL action continues with Islamabad United taking on Karachi Kings in match No.22. We hope you all join us as we will be back bringing you all the action from that game as well. This has been Rishab and my partner Navjeevan as we take your leave. Take care and have a good night!
Mohammad Rizwan, Captain, Multan Sultans: We have a good momentum going and have won both our games so far. There are some mistakes that we need to improve on like in our fielding where we dropped catches. There is a swell around my calf (on his injury). We have two days before the next game and hopefully I will recover in time. The pitch was quite good. The plan was to bat till the end as it would get easier with the ball getting wet.
Shahnawaz Dahani, Player of the Match, Multan Sultans: There was more dew today and Azhar bhai kept telling us how to bowl keeping that in mind. I rushed in the first over but I had it in mind that that is how the T20 game is. I believed in myself and the captain also gave me courage and confidence.
Wahab Riaz, Captain, Peshawar Zalmi: I think we did not execute our plans very well. The wicket was still very good to bowl on but I think the bowlers tried too much. We were10-15 runs short but it was a fighting total. Dew does effect the game and we saw the way Rizwan and Sohaib batted, still taking nothing away from them. We do not need to think about this game. Just a bad day at the office. What's done is done. We will comeback stronger.
And that's the game! Fitting end and Multan Sultans have wrapped this up quickly and in some style. Maqsood leaving them with just a hit away and it's skipper Rizwan who's finished it off with ease. Unbeaten on 82 as he continues on his merry way. Dominant performance from them as they win by 8 wickets!
16.3 Mohammad Imran to Mohammad Rizwan, SIX!! Full and down the leg, Rizwan helps that one along it's away as he flicks this one over the ropes over backward square leg and he says THANK YOU VERY MUCH And it has been a very good night for Sultans this one!
Too late for Zalmi now as they eventually do manage to break the stand!
Rilee Rossouw, Left-Hand Bat, comes to the crease
16.2 Mohammad Imran to Sohaib Maqsood, IN THE AIRRR AGAIN AND CAUGHT THIS TIME!! On the length and on the stumps, Maqsood looking to finish the game off in style pulls that one, gets the top half of the bat and the ball just goes high into the night sky, Asif gets under that one and completes the catch!!
16.1 Mohammad Imran to Sohaib Maqsood, BEAUTY!! SLAPPED AWAY!! Full and outside off, Maqsood clears his front leg and lofts that one over mid-off and sends the ball sailing over the ropes!! Just one more maximum needed to win for Sultans now!!
This is terrific striking from Maqsood. He's been the aggressor tonight and has displayed his power hitting abilities. Four boundaries off the over and they are in some hurry now. Just 12 away from a win and this game seems as good as done!
