Another day, another loss for MI and they will need something really special from here on if they can even think about a 2015-esque comeback. The Kings, meanwhile, jump to the third position with this win and all of a sudden, things are starting to look up for them. Right then, that brings an end to our coverage of this IPL encounter! Mayank Agarwal (winning captain & Man of the Match): It was a good night. Very, very happy to contribute to the team's win. Crucial thing was 2 points for us. I can't really say that it was the runs on the board. This game had a lot of ups and downs. More often then not, we were nailing the cubical moments. When the game was 50-50, we won the moments and the game came towards us so we cannot say it was just the batting. (On aggressive batting) At the start of the tournament, that is the brand of cricket we want to play. We want to show good intent and we were a lot smarter with the bat today as well. We kept wickets. We were cautious this time and we did not want to give wickets to their crucial bowlers. Credit to Brevis, the way he took on Rahul but then great comeback from Rahul as well. Obviously when Tilak and Brevis were playing we had to change our plans. Rabada is one of the bowlers but we have two other guys we mix and match to try and get a wicket for us. (On three win) Yes it's nice, very happy to have three wins. We are playing good cricket and even if we do 5-10% better every game, we can go on to do special things.

Rohit Sharma: There is hardly anything to find out from the game. We played pretty well and came pretty close in the end. A couple of crucial run outs weren't needed but that happens. At one stage, we were cruising but in the end, we could not hold our nerves. Credit to PBKS for how they bowled at the back end. If we are not winning games, you got to try ways to succeed as a batting group. We are trying different ideas but does not seem to be working at the moment. I don't want to take anything away from the guys. PBKS held their nerve and they won the game. (On going back to Mumbai after three games in Pune) Does not make too much of a difference. At the end of the day, you have to play good cricket. We have not been playing good cricket for a while and that is why we have been on the losing side. The Kings batted pretty well and they got off to a flier. I thought 190+ was chaseable on that pitch because it was really good to bat on. We got to go back and come back collectively as a group.

Oh dear! Mumbai Indians have messed up a straightforward chase once again. More disappointment for the Mumbai Indians and they have crashed to their fifth consecutive loss in the tournament. Jubilation for Mayank Agarwal and the Kings as they secure their third win of the tournament. One can just wonder what if Suryakumar had been around till the very end.

Odean Smith bowled a brilliant final over and after his horror outing against Tewatia, this was what he would have needed to boost his confidence yet again. The match began well for the Mumbai Indians as Rohit Sharma got off the blocks pretty well. Kishan had another poor outing in this contest and it seemed as though we were in for another batting collapse.

However, U-19 star Dewald Brevis joined hands with Tilak Varma as the duo stitched together a crucial partnership and put MI into the driver's seat. With the run-rate having gone below 10 RPO, it seemed like quite a simple task for MI. However, the wicket of Brevis combined with a couple of absolutely suicidal run-outs meant that MI had only SKY left at the crease.

In the end, it proved to be too much for even Surya to do as he perished after Unadkat denied the single on the delivery prior to that. Right then, Mumbai will be hoping to go back to the drawing board and make some much needed changes. They are yet to find the perfect combination and this one, which involves six batters and five bowlers, can be added to the pile of failed experiments for them. A few positives from this game but apart from that, MI really need to address the issues in their bowling as well as batting.
