That's all that we have for tonight, folks. See you tomorrow for the live coverage of the game between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Good night!
Ben Stokes has been adjudged as the Man of the Match.
Smith: "We scrapped really well at the end. Certain guys did well at the end. Stokes and Jayadev were brilliant in the last two overs. The wicket played the same throughout the 40 overs. 160 was about par, and we know the artillery that MI have, but today we were able to get wickets. I asked Jayadev to just back his strengths in the last over."
Rohit: "After being so close, we tried our best. It is really disappointing, but we've played good cricket, so I won't criticize much. We lost wickets in the middle so that was a mistake that happened. Overall it was a great game. Both the spinners did the job pretty well, as the pitch was on the slower side. We have to forget what happened today and move towards the back-to-back games that are coming up. It was good to get some runs but disappointing not to finish the game."
RPS WIN by 3 runs: What a game we've had! In the end, it came down to who could hold his nerve during pressure overs. One would guess that Rohit lost his cool on the third ball of the last over, which was tantalizingly close to being called a wide, but wasn't. The next ball was short and was there to be pull, but the MI captain top-edged it. Nevertheless, the 17th and 19th overs bowled by Tahir and Stokes were the potential game-changers as they tied the Mumbai batsmen down to the crease. With 17 needed off the last over, Rohit connected well for a six, but couldn't quite finish the game.
19.6 Unadkat to Harbhajan, SIX! Harbhajan smokes it over deep midwicket to finish off and sports a smile. Slot ball, Harbhajan frees his arms and deposits the ball to the cow corner. It doesn't matter though, RPS win by 3 runs.
Mitchell Johnson, left-hand batsman is in
19.5 Unadkat to Harbhajan, OUT! Unnecessary from MI. Full ball outside the off stump, Harbhajan drills it to deep cover and goes for the single. McClenghan looks to take the double but is found way short of his crease courtesy of a rocket throw from Ben Stokes and is out for a duck. MI need 10 runs from 1 ball.
Mitchell McClenaghan, left-hand batsman is in
19.4 Unadkat to Rohit, OUT! Drama, loads of drama! Is that the game for MI? Unadkat rolls his fingers across the delivery, Rohit tries to smack it away but gets a top edge, it balloons in the air and is caught by Unadkat in the second attempt. Unadkat bangs the back of his head while completing the catch. Hopefully, he is not seriously injured. He's fine now! MI need 11 runs off 2 balls.
19.3 Unadkat to Rohit, no run, off-cutter from Unadkat, way outside the off stump, Rohit moves across and lets it go to the keeper thinking it is a wide. The umpire doesn't indicate on and Rohit looks agitated. MI need 11 off 3 balls.
19.2 Unadkat to Rohit, SIX! Take that! Shuffles across and picks the length as if he knew it all along, hoicks the ball very high in the air and over the cow corner. Cometh the hour, cometh the man! MI now need 11 runs in 4 balls.
Harbhajan Singh, right-hand batsman is at the crease.
19.1 Unadkat to Hardik, OUT! That's a screamer by Stokes! Off-cutter from Unadkat, there is width on offer, and Hardik slaps it towards extra cover. Stokes makes ground and dives forward to claim the catch inches from the ground, What a match he's having!
144/5 after 19 overs. What an over from Stokes! Just 7 runs off it and it could be the defining over of this match. MI now need 17 runs off 6 balls. Unadkat to deliver the final over.
18.6 Stokes to Hardik, 1 run, full on the stumps, angling in, Hardik flicks it to short fine leg to keep strike.
18.5 Stokes to Rohit, no run, Perfect yorker from Stokes! right in the blockhole, Rohit can do nothing about it. Somehow gets a bat on it.
18.4 Stokes to Hardik, 1 run, slower length ball angling in, gets an under edge that goes towards point, batsmen scamper across for a single.
18.3 Stokes to Rohit, 1 run, full ball on the off stump, drilled to extra cover for a single.
18.2 Stokes to Hardik, 1 run, full on the legs, Hardik digs it out to deep backward square.
18.2 Stokes to Hardik, WIDE! Down leg side. Poor from Stokes, an extra run and an extra ball at a crucial stage.
18.1 Stokes to Rohit, 1 leg bye, full ball straying on the leg stump, Rohit tries to flick it but misses. Stokes was lucky on that occasion.
Ben Stokes to bowl his final over.
137/5 after 18 overs. Poor 11 run over from Unadkat, MI now need 24 runs from 12 balls.
17.6 Unadkat to Hardik, no run, tries to go for a big heave, it gets an under edge and the ball reaches Dhoni.
17.5 Unadkat to Hardik, FOUR! Poor bowling from Unadkat. Short and asking to be hit, Pandya adjusts to the slower bouncer quickly and pulls the delivery to the deep midwicket fence.
17.4 Unadkat to Hardik, FOUR! Back of a length, Hardik clears his front leg and slaps the slower delivery over extra cover. Not very convincing, but effective enough and it's a welcome boundary for MI.
17.3 Unadkat to Rohit, 1 run, back of a length on the off stump, pushed to the off side and that single brings up Rohit Sharma's first fifty of this season! Crucial knock from the MI skipper under pressure.
17.3 Unadkat to Rohit, WIDE! Attempted slower one, sprays it wide of the off stump.
17.2 Unadkat to Rohit, no run, back of a length on the off stump, slashed to backward point, finds the fielder to perfection.
