Right then. That's all we have for tonight. All eight teams have now played their first game in the round one fixtures as they look to make their way into the Super 12s. Sri Lanka have got off to a winning start and should make their way into the Super 12s after this win. Meanwhile, Namibia have a mountain to climb in their debut T20 World Cup. They gave a decent account of themselves tonight, but will need to buck up quickly if they are to progress further in the tournament.

Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka captain): We were planning quite a lot because we want to get through this qualifying stage. All went well for us. He's (Theekshana) been outstanding. Back home he's been training with Ajantha Mendis, they're in the same club. He gets a lot of advice for him and has a lot more to offer to the national team and world cricket as well. They've been outstanding the last few months (the pacers). The have been training quite well and have been executing their plans. It is the most important thing. They have their pace but not the execution. Now they've got that and going forward you can see good things for them. We spoke with Mahela, and our coach. Batting at the top of the order in T20Is is different. Avishka doesn't have the best of strike rates, so we had a few discussions and decided to make him bat at number four. Winning all 3 matches will definetely give us a good state of mind because we know the conditions and everything. It will be interesting going into the main tournament.

Gerhard Erasmus (Namibia captain): We have to take the positives from what we can in the second innings. We have to regroup, two very important games coming up. We were outplayed on the day but we've got two more chances and I think if do well, we are certainly in with a chance. Sri Lanka have a quality bowling attack. I guess with 96 on the board, the batsmen have to come to the party in the next game. To put up a decent score and back our bowling attack to defend it. Trumpelmann is a big fiery lad, always ready to bowl fast. Delighted for him to get a wicket. Hopefully, he can continue doing that. It's a great way to put our brand out there, and inspire the kids to play on the world stage. It's helpful for the players as well.

Maheesh Theekshana wins the Player of the Match award! Really happy to represent (my country). It's a huge moment for me. Off-break (is my stock delivery). The last game I played, I was the man of the match as well. I love to represent the country, (want to play) more games. I plan for game by game, don't plan ahead.

A near clinic from Sri Lanka tonight. The bowler's were the star of the show, as they so often have been. Theekshana, Hasaranga, Chameera, Kumara and Karunaratne were the heroes of that match, with the youngster leading the way with his three-for. Namibia were simply outplayed in the first innings but it was a spirited performance from the Namibians. They had the Sri Lankans fans fearing the worst and Mickey Arthur off his chair in the dugout, which is always a sign of seeing how Sri Lanka are performing. However, one good partnership was going to be enough to see them over the line. That's exactly what Fernando and Rajapaksa did. The two ensured there's no further hiccups, seeing through the run chase to amble their side over the line. Namibia will have a few positives to take from this one, but it will also be a reality check for their side. No upsets tonight then. Stay tuned for the presentations!
