The Netherlands scored 136 runs after being put in to bat first courtesy of the contributions by Scott Edwards and Bas de Leede who took them to the 100-run mark. Finally, Pieter Seelaar and Tonny Staal scored 44 runs in the last 12 balls to help their side get to a par total. In the bowling department, Sandeep Lamichhane led the attack with two wickets to his name while Sompal Kami and Shahab Alam picked up one wicket each.

Coming out to bat, Kushal Bhurtel and Mohammad Aasif Sheikh were off to a flying start. Both players made their debuts today and notched up their maiden half-centuries too. They were indulged in a 116 run partnership before Kushal Bhurtel lost his wicket after contributing 62 runs for his side. Mohammad Aasif Sheikh, on the other hand, remained unbeaten during his 54 runs knock. A combined team effort saw Nepal win the match by nine wickets and 30 balls to spare.

For the Netherlands, Julian De-Mey was the lone wicket-taker this match.
