Commentary

Malo CC beats Oeiras by 21 runs!

What a performance this has been from Malo CC! After putting up a stellar total of 134 for 6 in their innings, Malo had to work hard to get over the line with the ball in hand. It was an innings of two halves with the two Oeiras openers Kuldeep Gholiya and Kumar Rohit getting them off to a flyer. While Kumar Rohit, with his lazy elegance, got to a 23-ball 44, Kuldeep Gholiya led the chase with his explosive batting ability getting him 49 runs off just 22 balls!

Just when Oeiras looked set to set this mammoth total, the duo of Adnan Gondal (2-0-18-1) and Syed Maisam (2-0-9-2) came up with stellar spells in the death overs to get Malo CC over the line. They picked wickets at regular intervals and also got the better of Conrad Greenshields, who didn't have the best of games with either bat or ball. In the end, it was all about Malo CC's death bowlers Gondal and Maisam, who got the better of Oeiras' openers to hand Malo their third win of the tournament. As for Oeiras, there isn't much to ponder as they are back in action in about 10 mins. But that is it for this game.
