Scorecard
That brings an end to our coverage of this exciting ECS contest. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for live commentaries as well as the latest news. This is me, Avik Bose, and my colleague, Lavil Saldanha, signing off.
Winning the toss and electing to BAT first, Msida Warriors made a good, solid start to their innings managing 24/0 from the first 3 overs. But as the innings progressed, they kept on losing wickets and never had any momentum going with them. The batsmen struggled in the middle and the runs got hard to come by. Justin George top-scored with 42 runs from 25 balls while his opening partner contributed 14 runs from 15 balls. Rest of the scorecard does make sorry reading. None of the other batsmen touched the double-figure mark. From the bowling department, Andy Naudi and Kleinepunte took 2 wickets each and did not allow the batsmen to break free. Msida Warriors stuck in there and finished on 74/6 from their 10 overs.
Chasing a low target of 75, Overseas CC went off to a blazing start scoring 32 runs from the first 2 overs. From there, they never had to look back. Opener Gericke scored 18 runs from 8 balls while Andy Naudi played a blinder of an innings and remained unbeaten on 37 runs from just 18 balls and guided his team home. Kleinepunte also chipped in with an unbeaten cameo of 16 runs. From the bowling department, Basil Joy took 1 wicket while none of the other bowlers were able to put any dent in the run-chase. Overseas CC reached 75/1 from 5.4 overs with 26 balls to spare.

Overseas CC thus complete a resounding performance and win the match by a margin of 9 wickets while recording a third victory on the trot.
