Jason Roy is the man of the match for his match-winning innings of 74 (52 balls 8x4s, 3x6s)
Perth Scorchers win the match by 9 wickets

Domination at its level best from the Scorchers here. They batted well there and really well to register their 5th win on the trot and have rocked back home smoothly sailing with 22 balls to spare. They have now climbed up high and they have gone onto the third position in the table.

Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy opened the innings for the Scorchers and indeed, what a scorching start did they have to the innings. They went all out at the bowlers in the powerplay and smashed the ball to all corners of the park. While Roy got early hold of the pitch, while Livingstone took a while and examined it closely as they demolished the bowlers and got the bash boost point in the 8th over itself.

Both the Englishmen didn't stop their carnage as they batted along well and got their fifties respectively as the targetted the debutant Mitch Owen and got 17 runs in the over. Livingstone fell after playing a stroke-filled inning of 54, but Roy, who carried his bat till the end, and Inglis ensured there were no further hiccups as they won the match by a satisfying margin to go in the top 3 of the table..

Hobart Hurricanes were really flat in their bowling approach, with the batting partly to be blamed as they didn't add enough runs on the board. Scott Boland was the only bowler to have scalped a solitary wicket of Liam Livingstone and ended with figures of 1/26 in 4 overs next to his name
16.2 Riley Meredith to Jason Roy, a bizarre ending to this game! A short ball takes Roy by surprise as he top-edges one to Sandeep Lamichhane at fine-leg, who couldn't hold on it and he ends up searching for the ball as the batsmen complete the formalities of what has been a thunderous performance from the Scorchers!
16.1 Riley Meredith to Jason Roy, a short ball which doesn't rise much, Roy pulls it with disdain into the leg-side for a boundary!
The match is done and dusted here for the Scorchers. They have batted out really well throughout the innings and they will take pride in their performances. 9 runs come in the over, with the Scorchers needing 6 runs in 24 balls.

15.1 Nathan Ellis to Josh Inglis, a short ball bowled outside off, Inglis lets it go through to the keeper!
A breakthrough for the Hurricanes finally, but it has come all a little too late for them. The damage has already been done by the pair there but that will save them from the indignity of losing the match by 10 wickets. Scorchers now need 15 runs in 30 balls
